It was a worrisome question because I didn’t want him facing the ultimate price of being a prisoner in Alpha Memphis’s wrath —especially now that we knew he was a hybrid wolf incubus— but I needed to support him in this.
“Trust me, Rebel,”his voice pleaded with me just like those mesmerizing eyes of his.“I’ve got this.”
I trust you.
He needed to know that much.

“If I didn’t need to put this douche in his place, I’d never leave it.”
I smiled at that before Alpha Memphis clapped his hands once.
“Let’s get this shit rolling. First up. Jayce versus Lorsan. Three minutes. Not a minute more or less. Let’s get to it.”
Malachite didn’t hesitate to walk over to my side, and the two of us swiftly moved to the corner of the fence just like Garfield and Felicia did on the opposite end.
Before we could ask whether to move out of the ring or not, barriers of red corned us in but were sheer enough to give us a good view of the ring.
“Barriers ensure y’all partners stay in one piece. Are you two ready?” Alpha Memphis questioned as he leaned against one of the fences with his arms crossed.
He already looked like his patience was running thin.
“More than ready,” Lorsan declared as he waved his arms like he was stretching them out. “Hope you like being fucked out of your ass, chump. That’s what’s waiting for you in that cell of mold and darkness.”
Jayce didn’t waste time talking, his arms crossing at the hem of his sweater so he could pull it right off. I was reminded that my ghost rider was fit to the max, and today was no exception as his muscles were on display.
He tossed his sweater my way, and I managed to catch it with ease before smirking at its soft texture.
“And you just lost that sweater permanently,” Malachite casually commented.
Jayce chuckled and replied, “It’s my Rebel Flower’s sweater.”
He turned back to stare at Lorsan, and I swore something switched in his gaze that darkened immensely.
“She’s gotta remember the time I beat the shit out of one of her pack members who thought they could defy her.”
Okay. I was turned on.
"Someone’s getting laid tonight for sure,” one wolf whispered to another who bobbed his head frantically.
“Let’s go! Three minutes start now.”
I couldn’t help but hold my breath.
