"His point is valid."

I knew if my wolf was for it, my opinion wouldn't fucking matter. He wasn't one for many words unless we were complaining, but if he thought Neo's plan was worth a shot, I wasn't going to deny it.

"Once she settles in, we'll try it. The new house is almost ready, so we'll be able to move right before the finalized date for the deal. If it happens earlier, they're prepared to put in the work to finish everything," I concluded.

"So," Neo began. "Does Willow have a room?"

I didn’t say anything, and he began to chuckle.

"What?"

"That's a yes then," he concluded and rose up to stretch,

"I never said shit."

"You didn’t have to," Neo replied. "You're the leader of the gang and think ahead. The plan was to kidnap her originally, right? I would have assumed that meant she'd get a room if she survived long enough."

He turned around but paused when I grumbled, "Is that why you followed me here?"

"No," he genuinely answered. "I wanted to see the sunrise and it's nice to do so with company," he admitted. "The colors are intriguing."

I didn’t say anything, but he carried on, "I also figured you'd need a check-in anyways. After the conversation, I figured a certain someone would flicker to your mind.”

Mikhel.

"I'm fine," I huffed and stood up. "You're ruining the sunrise for me with all your talking."

That actually made him laugh. "Next time, I'll let Saint come."

That made me groan like I'd been hit with the plague. "No."

"Then suck it up, fucker," he tossed at me before he turned his head to stare at me for a solid moment, his black blindfold looking intriguing with the sun's rays flowing against its fine fabric.

"I'm starting to like Willow," he announced.

That wasn’t good.

My frown was obvious, but he clearly ignored it as he continued, "Not sure if she'd like me, especially with Onyx in the picture. Their love is obvious, but maybe she'd be up to date more than one person," he announced. "There's something more to her that I wish to unlock, and I think if I push the right buttons, I could do exactly that."

"At what cost?" I bitterly asked.

His smirk sent chills through me.

"I'm not sure yet," he whispered. "But whatever it may cost to have her, I'll pay double just to secure my betting chance."

He turned away, and I expected him to shift, but he added one final thing. "Don’t worry," he announced, which caught my attention. "William is all yours."

I couldn’t even scold him since he was back in his wolf form and heading to the house.

"He really is a smart fucker,"my wolf concluded.

Smart, dangerous, and now he wants dibs on Willow.

"Why are you nervous?"

I looked to the sunrise as I pinched my nose and sighed.

Because we both know he ain't the only one crushing on her.
