“Alex just invited us to go to the mountains for his photoshoot,” I say while cradling Maria to my shoulder and patting her back.
“Oh, I want to go!” Lucas shouts excitedly.
Alex makes a face. “This is actually just an invite for Seth and Rachel.”
“What?” Lucas frowns. “Why can’t I come?”
Seth grabs Alex by his collar and yanks him toward him. My face flushes as I watch their lips lock. Seth’s gaze flicks to Lucas, and for a brief second, I see his tongue delving into Alex’s mouth. Alex moans and Seth rocks against him. They pull away from each other. I fan myself, feeling hot all over. It’s clearly been too long since I last had sex, and watching Alex and Seth go at it for two minutes was a lovely teaser.
Lucas grimaces and crosses his arms. “Fine. Point made.” His frown deepens. “I still don’t think it’s fair.”
Alex shrugs while Seth goes back to cooking dinner. “You don’t have to find it fair. But we will need you to be with Maria the whole weekend while we’re gone.”
Lucas makes a face, and he glances between us. For a second I think he’s going to say no, but his gaze slides to Maria, who is smiling at him. His shoulders slump and I can’t help smiling as he says, “Oh, fine. But next time I get to come, too.”
Alex turns to me, clapping his hands together. “All right, Rachel. So what will it be? Will you join us at the cottage?”
My face flushes as I look between him and Seth, recalling how they latched onto each other, how Seth kissed Alex. “Oh, fine,” I say with a chuckle. “You’ve convinced me.”
