“And I can’t pay for any of it, so you will definitely have to pay for the course, certificate, and tests.”
Lucas shrugs. “Fine.”
“And you can’t write about me and Alex ever again, you got it?” I add while poking his shoulder.
Lucas chuckles. “Fine. Fine. I already made that promise.”
“Well, I want you to make it again, just in case you get any strange ideas.”
Lucas grimaces. “I’m good, man. I don’t want to write about you and Alex.”
I nod and hold out my hand. “Good. Then we have a deal.”
Lucas takes my hand and I watch as he smiles brightly at me. My stomach churns, and I don’t know if it’s the leftovers or that smile that has me feeling like I’m going to vomit. I just made a deal with Lucas. I accepted his money, his help.
Maybe Alex was right. I have been abducted by aliens.
