“You’d better take care of her. Or you’ll deal with your twin brother." Trent grunted in an alpha male type of way.

A smile played at Hunter's lips.

Trey let out a light chuckle. "No, he'll deal with his oldest brother."

It was the running joke at weddings; that all the other Stone men and friends had to endure.

Marshall cleared his throat dramatically. “No, he'll deal with me, and that means he'll end up in some trunk of a car somewhere that Tim will have to cover up."

Tim shook his head. "Uh, no." He didn't really like this joke. "I don't cover up bodies."

"Then I'll help him," Kensi called out, giving Tim a threatening look. "You have to give the proper insult."

Tim laughed. "Sorry."

Cheryse couldn't help but giggle.

The Stone family always entertained.

Brooks tapped Marshall on the shoulder. “The trunk of a car was taking it a little too far, dude. A little too far." He paused, then turned and met Cheryse's gaze and winked at her. "The truth is, there wouldn't be a body, it would no longer exist. FBI style."

Everyone roared with laughter.

Matt held up his hands to the audience. "I can't top that."

More laughter.

Pastor Henry cleared his throat and put his hands up to the audience. “Let's settle down. We are all here today to celebrate an outstanding event. The marriage of Hunter Stone to Cheryse Sky.”

Cheryse listened as the pastor spoke about marriage and vows and a lifetime of love, but all she could focus on was the deep blue of Hunter's eyes—or his eye. She would make that crack later and he would laugh.

Hunter squeezed her hand. "Ready?" he whispered.

She nodded.

The pastor cleared his throat and grinned at her. “Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

She said, “I do.”

The pastor turned to Hunter. “And do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?”

Hunter grinned. “I do.”

“Then, by the power of God, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.”

Reese giggled as Hunter let go of her hands and framed her face. With that same intensity she'd always known, he pressed his lips to hers.

Then she was soaring, falling, and she knew one thing for sure—she wanted to kiss this man for the rest of her life. He would always be her treasure. Only hers.

Epilogue

One Year Later

It wasn’t often that someone came to the Stone Family Inn without Trey knowing about it.

Usually, if people wanted to stay, they would book online on the nifty app that Brooks had put together to easily schedule visitors and simultaneously do background checks on those visitors.

When Ava had alerted Trey to the fact a large man was standing at the front door asking to speak to the son of James Stone, it was a tad unsettling. His father had been dead a long time and no one who knew the family would come asking for a ‘son.’
