I squeaked in utter fear.

The leather-clad dark wolf strolled in.

ChapterNine

The dark wolf looked just as shocked to see me as I did him. But the surprises didn’t stop there.

Oh no. The universe was not that kind.

The predator stalked closer and circled around me like prey that had caught his sights. Was I not exactly that? With me sitting there in an enclosed space while wearing nothing but a towel?

“Really, naughty rabbit?” the dark wolf inquired and removed his mask. “Ran into the arms of a marshmallow Dom? I expected better of you, bunny.”

“You,” I seethed.

“Me,” he confirmed.

I inhaled my shock and exhaled nonsense, sputtering incoherently as I recalled the text thread from just that morning.

A HOT LAWYER NAMED ANDREW: Where you going?

ME: Hiking.

A HOT LAWYER NAMED ANDREW: Alone?

ME: Yep.

A HOT LAWYER NAMED ANDREW: Not safe.

ME: I’ll be fine

A HOT LAWYER NAMED ANDREW: Huh. We’ll see about that.

Fury bolstered my courage. I shot to my feet and pushed the dark wolf on the chest, though he hardly budged. However, I did find my words.

“You sadistic son-of-a-bitch. I thought I fucking recognized you.” I pushed Andrew again. “How fucking dare you try to rape me!”

Andrew captured my wrists and snatched me to him before I could shove him again. My towel, apparently lost during my rage, was noticeably missing when my breasts crushed against him. My lawyer smelled of leather and outdoors.

Rather than be angry at me as I expected, he smirked. “You are the one who signed up for this scene. I just followed you into your fantasy. But I will say it made my cold, sadist heart swell to see your name on the CNC list.”

“Let me go,” I demanded.

“No, you are mine for the weekend.”

“The hell she is,” the blue wolf countered, sauntering into the den still only in his towel. “I removed her ears.”

Andrew propelled me back onto the couch. While my ass bounced on the cushion, my soon-to-be-ex-lawyer pulled my missing wristband from the pocket of his leather pants and threw it down on the coffee table.

“I removed her tag first.”

“Fuck,” the blue wolf swore softly. “I was hoping she just somehow lost it. But I should have known it was you when I saw the cut clothing.”

“Save your bullshit, Otis. You know these bands don’t come off that easily.

The blue wolf—Otis, I guess—shrugged then chuckled. “Yeah.”

Andrew scoffed. “You can’t claim ignorance when you made the fucking rules.” He then folded his arms across his chest and shook his head, bemused. “But you could never resist a damsel in distress, could you?”
