She couldn’t contain it anymore. It was impossible to describe. There were bright lights and detonations. Blood rushed through her ears, and it felt like she was falling down a rabbit hole. Adriana came with a silent scream that surely would wake the neighbors, trembling and shuddering as her legs jerked so hard they tore off the cloth that held them tied to the bed. Dimly, she felt Odysseus grunt and groan above her, his head falling beside hers as he thrust into the wet heat of her pussy one last time, burying himself balls-deep as he came with a growl that vibrated between her legs. She felt his cock pulse inside her and his cum jet out with such a force it sent her into another orgasm, this one smaller but still enough to drain her of the last bit of strength she had left.

Adriana fell back against the bed. For a long time, she stayed that way without moving a muscle. She vaguely felt Odysseus untie her bonds then reach up and pull the covering on her face away. She opened her eyes and looked up at him.

“You came.”

“Oh god. I’m so sorry. I couldn’t stop it . . . you wouldn’t stop”

Odysseus growled. “You disobeyed me.”

She didn’t know what happened. He changed so suddenly, Adriana cried out as Odysseus punished her harshly, refusing to stop until he was satisfied and she was bruised and welted. She never saw him again after that night.

ChapterEight

Several Years Later . . .

Adriana smiled as she collected her ID from the girl at the registration booth. She was at a gaming convention back on Aglaia! She turned around to head out of the convention center. She had to check into her hotel and unpack her bags before leaving for the opening night of the gaming convention. Giddy with excitement, she stopped to take pictures with two cosplayers dressed inFinal Fantasycostumes. Being on Aglaia made it even better because it was cosplaying aliens! Made the costumes look twice as cool. Although, as she looked around she wondered how many costumes were actually costumes. As for her, she was wearing a simple leather jacket and skintight jeans tucked into combat boots. In other words, she was feeling so underdressed she was already trying to figure out what she would be wearing when she came back for opening night. A look at the guest scheduled to speak already told her the night would be fun. But what she really couldn’t wait for was theHalocompetition that was starting the next day.

Adriana grew up helping her father in his bowling alley, and while she could throw a split partially blindfolded, her best memory of the bowling alley was the day her father and older brother dragged an old, beat-up arcade game to the basement. Of course, when they were done with it, the machine was gleaming and shiny, the coin slot by the side ready to take all her quarters. And Adriana fed that machine a lot of quarters until she was its undisputed champion. The word “SIE” that occupied the first three slots of the scoreboard a testament to her skills. Now, she was getting a chance to compete with the best players in the world. Adriana couldn’t wait to school them. As she smiled, she wished her brother could be here with her. But someone had to keep an eye on the bowling alley/gaming alley she now ran and shared with him. And thinking of her brother, Adriana remembered she had to call him to tell him she was done with her registration.

Struggling with her overweight backpack, Adriana tried to reach into her pocket for her phone. Not looking where she was going, she stumbled into someone’s body, and with the bag on her shoulder, it was enough to send her falling to the floor. She would have landed awkwardly, too, if someone had not immediately grabbed her hand and stopped her fall.

“Sorry, sorry,” Adriana quickly apologized as she first checked to make sure her phone was still okay. She lifted her head to look at her helper.

She recognized him immediately. Probably because he was purple but he had not changed much in seven years. The same naughty glint in his eyes. The same hairstyle, and that stubborn lock of hair that never seemed to want to stay with the rest but instead fell across his face to block one eye. Those lips. And now that she thought about it, the same strength in his grip. She blinked wildly, still staring at him and totally confused as to how to greet him, especially considering what had led to their breakup.

On his part, he looked equally confused, and to give him credit, just a little bit awkward.

“Hey, Ari.” He waved a bit, then dropped his hand.

“Odysseus.” Adriana paused, unsure what else to say. She didn’t even know if she should be talking to him or if she wanted to talk to him.

He smiled sheepishly as he stuck his hands into the pockets of his faded jeans. “It’s been a long time. You look amazing.”

“You too,” Adriana replied.

He stared at her, the smile on his face slowly disappearing. “Look, you have to know I am really sorry about what happened that night. I swear, I don’t know what came over me. I really should have stopped after you used the safe word. I have changed a lot since then . . .”

Adriana quickly looked around to see if there was anyone close to hear him before turning back, blushing when she heard the sound of him chuckling.

“I forgot how you get when you hear things like that.” He became serious again. “I really am sorry, and even though I know I don’t deserve it, can you please forgive me?”

Adriana thought about it, her mind briefly going back to that night when he had refused to stop in the middle of a scene even after she used the safe word. It was such a long time ago, and she decided it was time she forgave him. In truth, she wasn’t really hurt, and he was a good guy, and she knew that. “You don’t have to worry about anything, Odysseus. I forgive you. You here for the convention?” Adriana asked, mentally smacking herself on the head. “Of course, you’re here for the gaming convention.”

Odysseus was a gaming geek just like her. Actually, he was a bigger gaming geek than she was, and it was one of the things that made her attracted to him.

“Yes, I am. Don’t often get the time for this sort of thing anymore. But this year, I told myself I was going to start making time for things like this. Life’s too short for me not to enjoy mine.”

Adriana smirked. “Isn’t that kind of decision reserved for ya know alien men going through midlife crises?”

“Funny. I just bought a new Harley, so I hope this is not a midlife crisis.” He chuckled at her surprised expression. “Kidding. Been really busy these last couple of years. So taking a little break. And I actually do have a Harley. How about I drop you off at your hotel?”

Adriana’s eyes widened in shock. “How can you be sure I am heading to my hotel?”

“Are you not?”

“Well, yes. But—”
