“Take me, Oliver,” she murmured. “I want you inside me.Now.”

“With pleasure,” I growled.

I sank into her in one swift stroke and she arched into me with a loud cry. She was already wet and warm and waiting for me, making me delirious with desire. I felt her heat shrouding me, encasing me, squeezing me with a blinding pleasure that nearly drove me out of my mind.

Oh God, she felt so good!

I slid out and thrust into her again and she responded with an eager moan. Spurred by her wordless approval, I thrust into her faster, sinking deeper into her, lost in her glorious, wet heat.

She came with a cry, her body bowing off the sand as her walls clenched around me just as I came into her at the same time with a roar, my release shooting into her warm depths with a force that astounded me.

Breathlessly, I collapsed on top of her with our bodies still joined.

My eyes fluttered open and I found myself back in my old bedroom, tangled in my sheets, my heart pounding in my chest like I had just run a marathon. A small smile spread across my face as I thought of my dream and then I realized that there was a familiar stickiness in my boxers and I groaned.

I hadn’t had a wet dream since I was a prepubescent boy. Apparently, seeing Amanda again had awakened all the desire I had had for her as a teen.

And more.

I shook my head and nearly laughed at myself, getting up to wash myself and change into fresh boxers.

Damn, that was a pretty hot dream.

CHAPTER FOUR

AMANDA

It was pretty late when I finally got home from the wedding. In an instant, Buddy bounded up from his favorite rug, his tail wagging enthusiastically as he licked my hand in greeting.

I had expected to see Oliver at the wedding, but I didn’t expect he would still havethatkind of effect on me.

I mean, he was pretty hot in high school and we fooled around a bit like every hot-blooded teenage couple, but seeing him was like getting hit by a train at full speed. Twelve years was indeed a long time but God, those twelve years had been pretty good to him. I didn’t need Dora pointing that out to me.

He had that certain aura of a man who knew his place in the world, but at the same time, he was still that goofy boy who never failed to make me laugh. When he’d leaned in to talk to me, my heart had beat a tattoo out of my chest and for a moment there, I wanted him to kiss me.

What the heck was I thinking?

Luckily, Dan had arrived before I did something stupid and launched myself into Oliver’s strong, muscular arms. If he had been a few more minutes too late, he most likely would have walked in on a scene that I wouldn’t be able to explain my way out of.

I shook my head to clear my thoughts.Stop it, Amanda!

I sat down and ruffled the fur on Buddy’s head. “I must be going crazy, Bud. Or maybe, I’m just tired.”

“Oh God, so am I!” Dan walked in and pecked my cheek, backing away when Buddy started growling at him. He rolled his eyes and shot me an exasperated look. “Every damn time.”

I gave him a helpless smile to hide some of the uneasiness I felt. I was glad that he was spending the night over, after being gone for several days.

I watched his back disappear up the stairs and sighed. “You wouldn’t believe who I saw today, Bud. I don’t know if you remember him, though. It’s been a long time.”

Buddy rolled over and exposed his belly for a rub, his tongue lolling out of his mouth in a way that never failed to make me smile. If only the men in my life were all like Buddy, I’d never be in a dilemma like the one I found myself in now.

Oliver was part of the past… I had Dan now. I shouldn’t be having these thoughts about a man that wasn’t my boyfriend when said boyfriend was in my house.

Things don’t have to be so complicated, though, I told myself. He’ll probably leave in a few more days and go back to his life in London while I…My life is here in Georgetown.

“Hey, babe. I’m done!” Dan called from the bedroom.

I gave Buddy a last round of belly rubs before getting ready to wash the day out of my system. I padded over to the bathroom and slathered a makeup remover on my face before jumping into the shower, allowing the warm water to soothe the aching muscles of my legs from all that dancing. I closed my eyes and imagined the water washing away all my improper thoughts about Oliver.
