“Hey sis,” I smile when I hear my brother's voice, growing up he was always trying to protect me from unwanted advances, I wonder what he will think when he meets Dash.

“Hey stranger,” I say as I don’t speak to him as much as I would like to.

“What do you mean, stranger? I’m the one that phoned you last time,” he quips.

“Are you sure?” I tease, but I know it's true because it was when I first moved into town and he wanted to know if I needed any help.

“Yes, I’m very sure you tease. So, Mom tells me that you met someone?” I just knew that was what he wanted to know.

“Yes, I did,” I reply and hear him grunt.

“Is that all you going to say?” he asks when I don’t elaborate.

“Well, what else do you want to know?” I glance over at Dash and see his eyes are closed, but I know that he is hearing everything we say to each other.

“Is he good to you?” at that I smile as I think of the spanking that Dash just gave me.

“Yes, he’s very good to me,” Dash smirks but his eyes are still closed, which has me slapping his stomach playfully.

“If that changes, let me know and I will come there and sort him out for you.” I shake my head in amusement as I think of my strait-laced brother trying to fight someone like Dash that is used to a different kind of life to what he is.

“I don’t think you need to worry about that, but if he oversteps, I will let you know,” I say.

“Mom asked about your friend, has it become a problem me telling him?” I’m not sure if this Josh Termit is the problem, but even if he does turn out to be the problem, I would never tell him that because of him a stalker which I was trying to get away from has found me.

“No silly, it was just a question,” I say casually, trying not to poke his suspicions.

“Okay then, listen, don’t be a stranger and come and visit sometime,” he says. “And bring that man of yours.”

“Sure,” I say sarcastically, “so you can interrogate him.” He laughs at my answer just before saying goodbye.

“I’m guessing you heard everything,” I ask and get a nod from Dash. “So you heard the name of a supposed friend that wanted to know where I was.” He finally opens his eyes and looks at me.

“I will look into it, but don’t worry, all is under control.” I raise a brow at him but don’t push the topic as I know that he will check this Josh Termit out. I start to lay down, his arm sliding around me when he tenses. “Gunner,” he grunts just as there is a knock on the door. “Cover yourself,” he says as he slides out of bed, not bothering to get dressed, which will clearly tell Gunner what we were doing, that is, if he didn’t hear us, which the whole club most probably did. I can feel my cheeks heating with embarrassment when I think of the noise we must have made.

Dash opens the door and then steps out, pulling the door closed behind him, which has me shaking my head at him. Anyone walking past will see him naked, but I’m guessing that being a shifter nakedness is a natural thing for them.

DASH 17

Parking the bike down the road from where Josh Termit is staying, I place my hand behind my back to check for my weapon. “I hope this fucker is here,” I mutter.

Gunner brought me the information last night that he found, which confirmed Alaska’s news that her brother told a school friend where she was. Apparently, the school friend is the stalker, and he has been after her for a long time because from what Gunner has found Josh moved into the city three years ago, right across the street from where Alaska was living. When she left the city, he too left going first to their hometown and then making his way here.

“Keep your cool, brother,” Gunner says as he accompanies me up the street. Glancing over my shoulder, I see Dixon still sitting on his bike. Dixon will stay with the bikes in case the cops or someone comes past and asks questions he can fabricate a reply. The one thing we don’t want is for anyone to see us going into the bed-and-breakfast.

It’s still early enough for no one to be on the streets at this time but early enough to make it suspicious if anyone is looking. “I just want to end this,” I state. “We have enough on our plate now without having this asshole trying to wreck our stuff.”

“Yeah, the next obstacle will be catching the fucking serial killer. Do you think he knows about us?” Gunner asks as we move through the shadows of the night.

“Why do you ask that?” the question surprises me as I suspected the killer from knowing that we found his graveyard before and that is why he has now targeted us and is trying to frame us.

“I don’t know brother, but why would he place a body in our land and not phone the cops?” Gunner asks, “If you wanted to frame someone, wouldn’t you somehow inform the cops to go and look there?”

“You think he knows us?” I ask.

“I don’t know, for now I’m assuming that he’s playing a game with us, but also how did he find out that we were the ones that found his grave and if he didn’t find out why would he be targeting us? He is clearly playing some kind of morbid game.”

“Whoever he is, he is clever because we can’t scent him as he always uses those obnoxious cleaning products,” I state as we come into view of the Bed-and-Breakfast.
