I spin her around and pin her ass to the desk. She hisses as my fingers tangle in her long blonde hair. My lips press tightly against her mouth, stealing a kiss. Before my mouth sucks on her neck, I leave my mark on her skin. Her hands shove against my shoulders. Like a madman, I pull back and grin at her look of alarm as she realizes that maybe it wasn't the best idea to be locked naked in a room with me.

Olivia tries to get up off the desk, but I grab her wrists. Her back arches as I enter her again. Her breasts shake as I pound into her, and her mouth opens in pain mixed with pleasure. I hold on tight, slamming deeper as her legs shake and her knees bend.

I shout as I cum, holding onto her body. And when I finally let her go, Olivia slumps against the desk. She stays there for several moments as a bruise begins to show on her flawless neck.

“Why were you so rough?” she asks softly.

“Why did you make me wait?” I answer her with a soft kiss, her body molding into mine as I hold her in my arms. “Now, you’ll never be with anyone and not think about me.”

Chapter Ten

Olivia

Elijah watches me as I pull on my knee socks. We just had sex, but I feel vulnerable as he watches me tug my sweater over my head. He sits on the bar naked, not even bothering to pull on his jeans. I look up at him while I zip up my boots, and he holds out his hand. I hesitate; touching him is too intense. I should run out into the night and never be alone with him again.

He waits for me to approach him. I walk toward him as if I’m in a trance and he’s guiding me along on a string. He pulls me into his strong arms, and his mouth covers mine. There’s something sexy about him being completely naked while I’m completely dressed. He shows no shame as his mouth crushes mine, and he pulls me against his bare body. My hands lower, feeling every muscle and vein in his broad chest. I feel exposed, while he stays in control.

His large hands hold me firm as I try to take a step away. “I really have to go.”

He nods. “Wait for me to dress, and I’ll walk you home.”

My head spins at the thought. I let him take me on top of a desk in a bar, and now I’m freaking out because he’ll see where I live. I cling to my last bit of control, and not telling him where I live helps me hold onto the illusion.

“No, I’ll get an Uber.”

“Wait for me to get dressed.” He lets go of my waist, and I start toward the locked office door. He throws on his clothes quickly as I wait. He reaches out, and the lock clicks open.

I step away from the door. It has to be said; I have to make it clear. “We’re not a couple.”

Elijah looks at me, and his brows knit together. Again, I reach for the doorknob, and this time he doesn’t stop me when I hurry out of the room. I hurry back into the bar's main room, past chairs and tables, heading for the door. He follows behind me, walking slowly, not even bothering to hurry his steps. I stop in front of the outside door and wait for him to open it. I wait for him to let me go.

“This was a mistake,” I tell him, ignoring the soreness between my legs. “It can’t happen again.”

He smirks as if I’m making the biggest mistake. “You think you can be satisfied with someone else?”

I stare at him with that smug look on his face. “You’re not that great. If anything, you're delusional. You’re the one coming after me.”

“I’ve never forgotten you, Olivia, and now, you’ll never forget me.”

I’m turned off by his vanity to imply that I can never be with another man now that he’s had his dick in me. It’s a disgusting thought, and I spin in a fury, trying to unbolt the door. He presses his hand against it, boxing me in.

“Stay in here and wait for your ride,” he says. “It’s after three a.m.”

“What happened to you?” I spin around and stare earnestly into his eyes. “No one ever mentioned you again. Why won’t you tell me what happened?”

“You won’t believe it,” he says, unlocking the door. “Try asking your father. He knows as much as I do, if not more.”

The Uber pulls up, and I bust out the door. Elijah watches me as I get into the backseat of a Subaru. He keeps watching as the car pulls away onto the empty street. I check my phone, and it is past three. My heart skips as a list of missed texts appears in my notification. Amanda has been trying to find me to tell me that my father is waiting at our apartment.

I sigh, sinking down in the car and wondering if it’s obvious that I’ve had sex. The smell is unmistakable, even to a celibate. I switch my phone into selfie mode and start combing my hair down with my fingers. It’s too late in the evening to try to explain that I was at practice or studying late. Plus, I have beer on my breath. I pull my hat down and try to rub the mascara off my cheeks, but in a few minutes, I’m already there.

I hurry up the steps of my apartment and quietly unlock the door. In the living room, my father is stretched out on the sofa, his eyes closed and his arms folded. He’s ex-military, and even when he’s lying down, he looks as if he’s at attention. A rerun ofFriendsis on the TV, but I doubt he was watching that. I step softly into the kitchen to find Amanda sitting at the table, texting.

“I was just about to send you another text,” she whispers loudly. “Where the hell have you been?’

“I had no idea he was coming. What time did he get here?”

“Around four o’clock in the afternoon, when Lucas dropped me off. He was sitting on the stoop, holding that box.”
