Chad needs to die.

It was easy enough to scare off the other one-date wonders because who in their right mind would take on the Trinity? Those idiots weren’t worthy to breathe the same air as Odile if they were willing to give up on something so special, so easily.

Five death threats, four broken arms, three minor stabbings, two disappearances, one death so far…and countless promises of pain. I don’t hold back where Peony’s happiness is concerned. Even if it makes me sound like a bad Christmas carol.

All I need now is a damn partridge in a pear tree.

But I didn’t bother threatening this loser away because he’s honestly so pathetic I never expected Odile to give him the time of day.

When she did, I was so surprised that I almost interfered, however I was certain they wouldn’t go past one date because he’s so boring, so straightlaced, such a…fucking good boy that I never saw the appeal. I was sure that Peony would ditch him, but then there was a second date and a third and even a fourth. Somehow he became her boyfriend, a legitimate one.

Still, I didn’t worry because having this loser with Peony was better than any of the other arseholes at our school sniffing around her, so he was like a safety blanket until just now.

Until she showed me with one little sigh and a few whispered words how unhappy she is. Chad isn’t really to blame for her unhappiness and loneliness, or her wanting to stay with him rather than being alone. I know that. I know what she really wants, what she needs, but I can’t give it to her.

And now Chad needs to die for that.
