I’m all kinds of pissed off as I struggle back into my clothes, trying not to catch the fresh ink. It’s hella swollen and sore.

Fuck Johnny barging in here and throwing all his toys out of the damn pram like a little bitchtits.

I'm barely clothed when I’m flinging the door open and stomping out to the waiting area, where I find Johnny pacing, running his hands through his hair in agitation, and sniffing like crazy. Is my brother on drugs? Maybe I should go back to the guys and avoid this conversation until he is, at the very least, sober and down from whatever high he’s on.

“You took your fucking time!” Johnny snarls when he spots me. He stops pacing and rushes over to me. I half expect him to crash into me, but I hold my ground. His breath is rancid, his eyes bloodshot and wild. Yep, he’s high. And when the hell was the last time he showered?

All of a sudden, the anger drops from Johnny’s face, and his eyes somehow manage to zero in on the tender spot on my neck. I know there’s a hickey there. It’s not like I’ve tried to hide it. It’s not like I care. Instead of Johnny going mental again and becoming even more enraged, he suddenly smirks. A smug, sickly expression stretches across his face which instantly has me on edge and makes me nervous.

He looks past me, over my shoulder, and I sense rather than hear or see the guys coming to join us. Johnny’s grin gets even wider.

“So you boys took me up on my offer after all?” he jeers.

I frown. What offer? What’s going on? How do you go from being that angry to this…smug…in the blink of an eye?

Linc immediately tenses and snaps back at Johnny. “Shut the fuck up, Johnny, you don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about.”

“What’s going on?” Mica asks.

“Not a clue, man,” Kelly replies with a shrug, looking back and forth between Johnny and Linc.

“No, she should know about the deal you made with me.” My stomach sinks. This can’t be good. I have no doubt that I’m the ‘she’ in this statement, but a deal? Dread claws at me.

“Don’t—” Linc warns, but of course my brother ignores him.

“They all get to share you, my sweet skanky sis, in exchange for remaining my partners,” Johnny slurs, and even though he seems unhinged, the point is clear.

“What the fuck?” I don’t know which of us says it, it seems to be in stereo bouncing around the room.

I’m so confused. What is Johnny on about? Is he deluded as well as high?

I mean, once it sinks in a little and I comprehend what he’s implying, I can believe it; it’s the sort of bullshit Johnny would come up with…but I can’t see the other guys agreeing to it. Especially not Linc. I mean, why would they? They were so angry at Johnny and wanting to get away, and I’d already hooked up with Linc before that.

“Wait, what?” I ask.

“Yeah, what—”

“—the hell?”

“Honestly, guys, it’s not that hard to comprehend. You all stay in business with me, in exchange for pounding my sister’s well-used cunt—”

Johnny’s crazed ramblings are abruptly cut off by Linc wrapping his fist around Johnny’s throat. He looks ready to blow, a vein throbbing in his temple, the muscles in his arms and the tension in his shoulders and jaw telling me everything I need to know.

He’s not denying it.

“What the fuck?” Mica exclaims, jumping over to pull Linc off Johnny, who’s turned an alarming shade of purple.

“This is so messed up,” Kelly mutters, shaking his head but not stepping in to help.

“You’re telling me,” I murmur, dumbfounded.

Everyone’s eyes snap to me, and I can see a triumphant gleam in Johnny’s. He’s loving this.

I think about how earnest he seemed when he said he was glad I was here. Was it all a lie? Or was he actually happy to see me…until the point my bombshell threatened to tear apart the glamorous life he built for himself here? A life I know he couldn’t afford without Linc, Mica, and Kelly on the scene. Is this his revenge? Maybe I deserve this? But then again, I can’t see the guys agreeing to this…not that I know them that well. It hasn’t even been a damn week, but still, they don’t seem the sort to agree to something so fucking stupid.

“Time to take your skank ass home, sis. No one wants you here now that you’ve served your purpose. Thanks for having a platinum pussy and saving my ass. But now you can fuck off…oh, and don’t bother going back to the apartment, I trashed your stuff.”

“For fuck’s sake!” I snap just as Mica releases Linc and they both launch themselves at Johnny. I don’t bother shouting at them to stop, and it’s actually Mica who lands the first punch and knocks Johnny flat on his ass. “I’m gonna go.”
