“You better only be having sex with one woman from now on ” It’s a feral growl and even I’m surprised by the ferocity of it. Way to go being a possessive asshole already, Jasmine, it’s only day one. But the guys just laugh.

“As if I’d even look at anyone else, babe.” Ash is the first to reassure me.

“You’ve got nothing to worry about, love,” Rowan promises.

“I don’t think I could find anyone as kinky as you anyway. You're a dark horse, sweetheart.” Oakley winks.

There’s silence and I turn to Linden. I try not to let the worry, the uncertainty, the insecurity show on my face.

“Linden?” Damn my voice coming out small.

We’re interrupted by the shrill ring of Linden’s phone.

“What?” he barks as he answers it. He sounds pissed. I wonder who it is. His eyes cut to mine and blaze, a slight smirk tugging on his lips. “I see. That’s my girl.” The look he gives me makes me beam with pride, though I have no idea what he’s praising me for. “I don’t give a fuck. That’s up to her.”

Abruptly, he ends the call, staring intently at me.

“Who was that?” I ask, unable to break his dark gaze.

“That was Lucy. I believe you’ve met. Apparently, she’s been trying to get hold of me for several days because someone put a spell on her.”

“Oh, yeah, that.” I bite my lip. “I was going to put it right, I swear, but with everything happening with Jasper, and then the bond…”

Linden stares me into silence.

“The boils should have cleared by now on their own,” I whisper. Beside me, Oakley roars with laughter and even Ash and Rowan crack a smile. Linden does not.

“It wasn’t the boils she was calling about. Care to explain?”

“Oh, erm, I may have given her a tattoo?” It comes out as a sheepish question.

“Where?”

“Erm, across the bottom of her back.”

“And pray tell, Jasmine, what was the tattoo?”

“Some writing and a picture.”

“Of?”

“Erm, a dick. And the word ‘skank’ below. So it basically reads ‘dick skank.’”

“I see.” Linden frowns. Everyone else is absolutely wetting themselves. “And why did you do that?”

“Because I’m not a shifter, so pissing on you both to mark my territory would be frowned upon?” I give a sickly sweet smile as I answer with a question. Finally Linden cracks a smile.

“I’m in,” he says, staring into my eyes.

“You are? Even after I did that to your ex?” I can’t believe it.

“I’m in because you did that to my ex.” He winks.

“So, where does that leave us? Are we doing this?” Ash asks. All eyes turn to me, expectant.

I take a deep breath and give in. Holy hell I know there’s no denying these feelings. The bond may be new, but it’s strong. Instinctively, I know that it’s here to stay. There’s no breaking it. Acceptance relaxes all my muscles and I beam around the table.

“We’re doing this,” I nod, “I think I just got myself a reverse harem.”

The guys whoop and cheer, high fiving one another and clapping each other on the back like they’re freaking Olympians or some crazy shit.

Ah, holy hell, what have I let myself in for?
