“It’s been exactly the amount of time that I want it to be.”
“Which is?” he probes.
“Shut up,” I retort, lamely.
“Enquiring minds would like to know,” he pushes.
“Who? Besides you?” I ask, just as Rowan pipes up with, “I wouldn’t mind knowing.”
“Hmm, knowing what?” Ash asks, as he returns with our drinks.
“How long it’s been since our Jasmine here had sex,” Linden helpfully supplies. My heart flutters at his use of the word ‘our’, but I mostly just scowl at him for being too personal.
“Ooooh, why, has it been a while?” Ash turns to me with merriment in his beautiful, glimmering eyes.
“I hate you all,” I grumble. “You barely know me. You shouldn’t be asking questions like that.”
“Well we’re trying to get to know you, so asking questions is part of that.” Ash smiles. He has a gorgeous smile, it lights up his whole face.
“Yeah, but you’re meant to ask my favorite movie, or color, or something,” I protest.
“Fine,” Rowan says. “What’s your favorite movie?”
“Practical Magic,” I answer without hesitation.
“Favorite color?” Ash asks.
“It depends on my mood.”
“Favorite sex position?” Linden chimes in with a grin. I glare at him, and he gives me a smug look. “What? It’s a favorite-type question!” he adds defensively.
I wait until he reaches for his beer and then declare to the table, “Airtight.”
It has the desired effect; Linden chokes, spits beer everywhere and starts to cough. Ash, who is sitting next to him, begins to thump him on the back while laughing.
“Isn’t that…don’t you need…?” Linden begins between coughs. His eyes are watering from the strength of my surprise.
“Three dicks?” I ask innocently. “Oh, at least.”
Linden’s eyes bug out of his head and the rest of us laugh and drink.
“Yeah, I could take the three of you home right now and break this dry spell I’ve been having,” I joke. I am joking...kinda, maybe?
“Four,” a new, deeper voice breaks in. I tingle all over and look up to see the bouncer from the door staring down at me.
