He sounded jealous as he asked the question. I knew it wasn’t very evolved of me, but I really liked when he got a little possessive. Like when he’d said he didn’t like seeing me dancing with Tim. And he said he didn’t want any other guys asking me out.

“Matthew Crosby. I was a freshman in college, and we went out on a few dates. I asked him back to my dorm room and we made out on my bed before his girlfriend,” I lifted my hand and stuck my pointer finger in the air, “which I did not know he had, showed up pounding on my door. Apparently, a friend of hers lived down the hall from me and saw him go into my room.”

“Thank God for nosy neighbors.” He grinned.

“Okay, your turn. How many women have you slept with?”

“Do you really want to know?” His lifted his head.

Did I?

“Actually, no. But I do want to know how many women you’ve loved.”

“One,” he immediately responded.

I wondered which one of his girlfriend’s it had been. He’d told me about a few of them, but he’d also said that they hadn’t been serious relationships. “How long were you two together?”

“Q and A time is over,” he said as he bent down and picked me up, tossing me over his shoulder.

I laughed as he swatted my backside playfully and carried me up the stairs. Q and A time might be over for now, but we would definitely be revisiting it.
