Only, he wasn’t Santa. He wasn’t fat with a white beard and rosy, red cheeks. No, this man was tall, strong, with inky black hair smoldering green eyes, and instead of Santa’s normal pants he had on black jeans and a black undershirt under the open Santa jacket.

“Whoa, easy Sweetness.” He gave me a lopsided grin that caused a dimple to peek out in his chiseled cheek.

“Umm,” I swallowed hard and tried to force my eyes away from his, but my body wasn’t listening and my mind had gone blank.

“You, okay?” He asked when I didn’t say anything. I was frozen like a deer in headlights. My body was pressed against his, my hands were on his chest, and to anybody else we looked like a couple in the middle of a heated embrace, but I was truly in shock over the things I’d seen in the room behind me.

Somewhere I heard cries of what could be from pleasure or pain I wasn’t sure which and I was too afraid to turn around and find out. I closed my eyes and leaned forward resting my forehead on his chest. He felt safe for some reason, and I just needed a moment to process everything. I was so sheltered as a kid. Places like this didn’t exist in my little bubble, but here we are, and I was right in the middle of it all.

“Hey, come here.” He wrapped his arm around me and guided me back to the main foyer. I could still hear the music and the sounds of sex but at least I didn’t feel like I was completely overwhelmed by it. I could separate myself from it. I was a freaking virgin in the middle of a sex club.

“Thank you,” I whispered when I could finally find my voice. He had me leaning against the wall, and he was standing in front of me guarding my view of anything beyond him. I was grateful for both the support and the distraction goings on around me.

“No problem, Sweetness. Did you get lost and find yourself here by mistake?” I looked up to see his amused smirk.

I shook my head, “I’m in way over my head.”

His brow furrowed, “Did someone bring you here and leave you to fend for yourself?”

If I wasn’t mistaken, he was more than a little pissed at the idea someone had brought me to a sex club and left me on my own, especially when it was obvious this was way out of my comfort zone.

“No,” I shook my head. “An acquaintance of mine told me about it. I guess I should have asked more questions before I came. All she told me was it was adults only and very exclusive, since I wasn’t a member, I wouldn’t have access to everything, but I could go check it out to take notes on Christmas gifts.” I laughed and blushed to the roots of my hair.

My head was still spinning, and a headache was quickly forming, so I closed my eyes and massaged my forehead. “You probably think I’m an idiot.” I laughed at myself, trying to cover up my humiliation.

“No. I think you are a bit innocent to be in here on your own. The sharks will start circling if they think you are available.”

I groaned, “Is it that obvious I’m a virgin? Seriously?”

He took a step back from me, and I immediately missed the heat of his body against mine. “No. I meant innocent in that you probably don’t have much experience. I didn’t figure you didn’t have any.”

“Oh my God, could this night get any more humiliating? I think I’m going to go. Thank you for your help, Santa Man.”

“Wait.” his hand rested on my waist holding me in place. He looked up and my gaze followed his right up to the mistletoe, “We can’t break tradition, Sweetness.”

My belly flipped over, and my heart fluttered as he leaned down to capture my lips with his. I’d kissed a guy before, but the other guy’s kiss had been nothing like this. His tongue dipped into my mouth and slid across my tongue, coaxing me to participate. I felt my body relax against his as I got lost in the intensity of his kiss.

I don’t know how long we stood there making out under the mistletoe. It could have been minutes or hours. All I knew was that something shifted inside me, and I felt an ache grow deep in my belly.

“Hey Boss, we got a problem.” Santa Man broke the kiss with a frustrated growl that made my body zing in places that have never zinged before. So that’s what all the romance novels I read talk about. I always thought that it was hyped up and they were full of it, but my body was liquified just from this Santa Man’s kiss.

“Stay here, Sweetness, I’ll be right back.” He kissed me hard and quick again before following the other guy who interrupted us back into the main room.

That was when it hit me, Boss. He owned this place or ran it, either way he was way out of my league. It also occurred to me that I didn’t even know his name. If I had been drunk, I could blame it on the alcohol, but I wasn’t This wasn’t a Carrie Underwood song, and my mama would truly be ashamed.

“Oh God,” I groaned. I ran out of the club as fast as I could wearing my heels. This was definitely not the place for me, and Santa Man was better left as a fantasy at night under the covers.
