“Partly.” I won’t lie to her. I mean, if I had my choice, I wouldn’t be a part of this at all. I’d rather be trying to get to know her better, maybe take her out somewhere, and there would definitely be some heavy making out.

“For fuck’s sake, can’t you see how crazy this is?”

She fists my shirt, pulling my body against her so tightly that I break. Every ounce of self-control I had is lost in a sweet vanilla haze. Before I can stop myself, I’m leaning down to slide my hands around her thighs, pulling her feet from the ground, wrapping them around me, and slamming her back against the wall beneath me.

My mouth crashes into hers, stealing the gasp from those perfectly plump lips that I’ve been dying to taste. Her hands press flat against my chest at first, begging for the breath I can’t give her. I fear that if I let her go, she’ll dissolve into thin air like a dream, so I hold tighter for just a little longer.

As I finally pull away, I see the startled look on her face, letting her slide slowly back to her feet. She steps into me, and I brace myself for the fight that’s about to unfold, but she stares up at me instead, like she’s seeing someone new.

In an instant, she’s sliding that tight fist into the back of my hair and pulling me back in. My spitfire is full of surprises. My entire body burns and melts into her as I let her take control. I dig my fingers into her soft blonde hair, pulling her head back to break our kiss. She’s panting for me now, as I trail soft, slow kisses down the length of her neck.

I smile to myself, watching her little body shiver in my arms with every touch. Our hearts pound as we struggle with the intensity that surrounds us, she wants this just as much as I do, and I’ll be damned if I’m going to let Logan take this from me.

Nothing could be more perfect at this moment. That is—until I hear someone pounding on the door.

“Stryker, get out here, man. Logan started some shit, and we need to go, NOW.”
