She laughed again and tsked her tongue at me. “Why does the idea of you covering my tits with your come turn me on so much right now?”

I groaned and palmed my hard on. “You can’t say things like that when I’m supposed to be having a meeting in a few minutes Cora.”

“Hmm. Well then I’d better get going, I’ve got a date with your hand-held shower head in five minutes, and I’d hate to keep it waiting.”

“You minx.” I was raging hard imagining her standing in my shower bringing herself to orgasm with my shower head.

“Only for you baby. I’ll talk to you later.”

“Franklin will drive you to your appointment.” I said and she started to argue. “He drives you or I do.”

She groaned and conceded. “Fine, I will let Franklin drive me even though I’m more than capable of getting there myself.”

“Thank you.”

“Hmm.”

I lowered my voice in the way I knew she loved, “Think of me when you come.”

She panted into the phone, “Always.”

She hung up and I put my phone in my pocket as my door opened and my eight o’clock meeting walked in.

Alright, down to business I suppose.

I looked up as my father walked off the elevator a couple of hours later and smiled warmly at Veronica on his way into my office.

I stood up and rounded my desk when he walked in and hugged him tightly. He was dressed sharply in a suit and tie and looked great for his young age of fifty-five.

“You look particularly happy today.” I said to him as we walked over to the seating area where our lunch was laid out. Veronica had ordered our favorites from the Italian place across the street and the scents had been teasing me the last ten minutes.

He undid his suit jacket and tossed it over the chair before sitting down. “I am particularly happy today.” He snickered and opened his lunch container. “I get Salvatore’s for lunch with my son, what’s not to be happy about?”

I laughed and removed my own jacket and sat down. “Be honest, it’s the Salvatore’s that got you here on such short notice wasn’t it?”

“Well.” He mused, conveniently not answering the question. “How are things son?”

I took a bite of my meal and then sat back in my chair. “Things are… interesting.” I said and he eyed me closely. He took a drink of his water and pushed his plate away.

“I should have known better than to ask before I got to eat my lunch.” He raised his eyebrow at me and even though I was a billionaire and CEO of a company I’d built from the ground up; he was still my dad and he still made me feel like a kid when we talked like this. “Lay it on me.”

“Cora Valentine started working for me a couple of days ago.”

His eyebrows shot to his hair line, and he leaned forward in his chair. “Wow. How is she?”

I shook my head and couldn’t help the stupid grin that pulled my lips. “She’s breathtaking.” He smiled at me and gone was the alpha CEO that he’d always been growing up, and in his place was just my dad.

“Tell me everything.”

I sighed and the smile fell and so did his. “She took a job at Halo Optics downstairs and had no idea I was the CEO up here. Long story short she ended up translating a meeting with Shen Hu for me and caught some insider trading scheme they were trying to pull over my eyes and she saved me from making a nine hundred-million-dollar mistake.”

“That’s incredible.” He praised.

“But then that night on her way home, she was mugged on the subway.”

“Why on earth would Cora Valentine be riding the subway?” He snapped, scowling at me like it was my fault. I didn’t have the heart to tell him it was.

“I had no clue, there were things that didn’t line up with her story that drove me crazy. She lived on the west side, and took a job here as a PA.” His brows knitted as I continued. “She rode the damn subway and every time I mentioned her family she clammed up and shut down.”
