“Now!” She gasped, “That was the deal, give me your cock right now.”

I smirked and crawled up her body, pressing her thighs wide around my hips as my thick cock searched for her opening. “I’ve missed you.” I growled against her neck as I ran the head of my cock through her wet folds. “I’ve really fucking missed you.”

“Show me how much.” She purred, scraping her nails over my scalp.

I pushed forward, thrusting into her until my balls laid against her ass. “Fuck.” I groaned, kissing her deeply as my hips took up the rhythm we both loved.

“Maverick.” She clawed at my back as I fucked her with long and deep thrusts, from root to tip and back again. “I thought of this, the entire time you were gone.” She panted, “Of our wedding night when you told me to memorize in that moment how much you loved me. That’s what I’ve held onto these last two months Mav.”

“Good girl.” I circled my hips, already feeling the delicious tingles of my orgasm nipping up my spine, threatening to end this before she got off again. “You’re so perfect.”

She mewed and pulled her legs back wider, switching the angle that I was hitting inside of her, and her eyes rolled when I found her g spot. “Yes.” She groaned.

The muscles in her neck tightened as she pushed her head back into the pillows further and then her body stiffened beneath mine. Her pussy clamped down on my cock and started pulsating around it as her orgasm pushed her into bliss.

“Good girl.” I gasped, pulling back to watch her face as she drew my own orgasm from my body and took my come deep inside of her. “So fucking tight.” I panted and dropped my head into her shoulder as my cock twitched inside of her for a moment before I rolled off of her and pulled her to lay on her side facing me.

I ran my fingertips up and down her spine as we both came down from the euphoria coursing through our bodies.

“We’re going to be okay, Cora darling.” I whispered into the darkness as she snuggled into me deeper. “But we cannot stay here for another minute and I’m burning this lumpy ass mattress to put it out of its misery.”

She snickered against my chest and shook her head. “Good, because I miss our bed so much.”

“Let’s go home, Angel.”

“Let’s.”

Epilogue – Cora

I stood in the elevator, wearing a dark wine-colored dress that hugged my obnoxious belly and reminded me of the dress I’d worn on my very first day walking into Hawthorn Tower. It was hard to believe that had only been a few months ago.

This time however, I didn’t ride up to my floor with a handsome CFO trying to get my name as he flirted with me shamelessly. Today, I rode up with my husband on both of our first days back to work since the Friday we’d left for our wedding.

The night that Maverick had showed up in my apartment, breaking the stretch of loneliness for both of us, had been the first day in healing the damage that the time apart had done. He’d made good on his vow to burn my mattress if we didn’t leave my apartment right then and there, and we’d left to go back home to the penthouse together for the first time.

That was four weeks ago, and we’d stayed pretty secluded in the time since as we made up for lost time. Maverick worked from home, diving headfirst back into his role as CEO and micromanaging boss. Much to Dexter’s approval.

While he worked tirelessly in the office in our penthouse, he was never more than a few steps away from me as he helped nurse me back to a healthier version of myself as I fell into the honeymoon phase of pregnancy with open arms. Each day we’d spend time together, enjoying the quiet silence around us and making memories through the pregnancy.

Like afternoon bubble baths in our soaker tub where Maverick would hold me against his chest and run his hands over my belly, talking to our baby, or reading a book from the library he was building up to match the one in the beach house.

After we would get out of the tub he would sit me down on the bed and help me rub lotion on my belly and tell our baby all of the things he thought they should know about the world they were coming into.

And I fell helplessly in love with him as not only my husband, but as a father.

And standing in the elevator, getting ready to walk into the corporate world he had built with his bare hands, he was the picture of perfection.

The doors to the lobby of Jones Holding opened up and Mav led me out, holding my hand as we passed Peter the main receptionist on our way down the hall to his office.

“I have a surprise for you.” Maverick said in a rumbly low voice at my ear as he pulled me towards the conference room next to his office.

“Oh lord.” I droned in feigned annoyance. He’d been surprising me with things from the moment we got back together, and he outdid the last one each time.

He smirked down at me and paused outside the mirrored door, and it was then that I realized the glass was set to match Mavericks, so there was one long continuous wall of mirror along the entire lobby. “Close your eyes.” He said and I did, to humor him as he pushed both doors open. “Open them, baby.” He said with a smile in his voice, and I tentatively did as he commanded.

And my breath was completely whisked away at the sight before me.

“Mav.” I gasped, letting my eyes roam around a brand-new office built for a queen. I walked into the room and looked around in awe from the massive desk along the windows overlooking the city below and the comfy looking couch and armchairs along the wall and then to a small conference table in the corner. “What is all of this?” I asked him, turning around to find him leaning on the doorjamb with a sinfully sexy smile on his face.
