After that came Blais. The fucker has been annoying as hell since the day I met him. Theon and I tried so hard to get rid of him day after day, but he came back with a goofy-ass grin every single time, attaching to us like a leech. There was one day though when he wasn’t his usual weird self.

We had no idea what happened, but it’s like something in him snapped. He had a knife in his hand leaning over the kitchen sink. I saw him pick up the blade and slice right across the palm of his hand watching the blood pour out of it.

I tried to stop him when I realized what he was doing, but he just looked at me with hollow eyes, then began to lick the blood. Turns out a girl staying there, Anna, had a crush on Blais and tried to hold his hand. A giant thing you should never do to Blais, especially if you’re a female. This led to him freaking out that day, licking up the blood like he needed it to survive. It takes a lot for Blais to be comfortable with touch; it took him forever to get used to Theon and I giving him hugs or pats on the back if they weren’t initiated by him.

Deep inside his eyes, I could see the same darkness that radiated off both Theon and I. He didn’t want to talk about it, and he pretended like it never happened after, but from that day forward, it was always us and Allie.

Until she was taken away from us.

Shaking my head to rid myself of those thoughts, I focus back on why I wanted to talk.

“We aren’t getting anywhere with her. She’s a fucking thorn in my side. I think we should cut our losses and go with our original plan of getting Novak. She’s not really helping much.”

“You sure?” Theon asks, taking a seat on the sectional in the corner away from where Blais and I are sitting.

“Do you see her sharing all her secrets anytime soon?” I say, leaning back in my seat.

“Not a chance,” he replies, leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees.

“Exactly. I don’t see it either, so there’s no point in keeping her around, taking up space.”

Theon’s eyebrows crinkle, but he nods.

“What if there’s another option?” Blais suggests from beside me. Of course he’s trying to think of ways to keep her around.

“Useful ones? Or ones for you to keep her around to fuck?” I ask seriously.

“Useful ones, you asshole. Keeping her around to fuck is just an extra benefit,” he says, throwing me a stern look. We should honestly keep those two away from each other, not allowing them to be alone, but Blais will always find a way to get what he wants. He’s a sneaky fucker, so I have no doubt he’ll be trying to fuck her again.

“Let’s hear it then.” Theon’s tone is short and grumpy. He loves his sleep so waking him up in the middle of it is like putting up with a sassy toddler.

“We’re clearly missing the point here. She’s FBI which means she’s got access to things not even we can get. Things Josh wouldn’t be able to hack without getting flagged in the system. She has to have a computer or something around her apartment that will give us that access even if she said she didn’t. No way she’d be undercover without one,” Blais says with a shrug.

The thought crossed my mind, but I clearly forgot all about it with the havoc she has wreaked on our lives since barreling onto our radar.

“Alright, then what? We get the computer. How do we get her to actually log in? She’s not exactly forthcoming,” Theon says running through the option.

“My magical dick of course.” Blais grins.

I shoot him a glare, promising my wrath.

“Damn, sassafras, calm your titties, I’m only half joking.” He pats me on my thigh, pulling a growl from deep inside my chest. “Obviously, my magical dick could do the trick, but maybe we tell her we’ll give her information on Novak? She says she was here for him, why don’t we feed her a little information. It’s a two-way street with her. Give and get. She’s not dumb, she doesn’t want to give up information in return. Maybe she’ll think she’s going to get out of here unscathed if we help her. Or maybe she’s still planning on killing all of us and escaping, either way she’ll want information about him.”

His suggestion makes sense. I mean we can always torture her again if we need to, to get her to give us information, but I’m not sure she would. It’s worth a shot. It beats killing her, I guess, if it gives us the option of getting some information. Maybe if we get the computer and she doesn’t access it for us, we can give it to Josh and he’d be able to break in.

I pick apart Blais’ idea in my head. “Okay, that’s not a terrible idea.”

“Not a bad idea? Better than what you had.” Blais chuckles. “If that doesn’t work, we could always use her as bait.”

“Bait?” Theon and I say at the exact same time.

“Yeah, obviously she wants Novak and so do we. He already took a liking to her, so we take her to the club, lure him out, and bam, we’ve got him.” He’s clearly thought about this before now.

“You want to let her out in public, in a crowded club where she could wander off, call the FBI, and get us arrested? Yeah, not going to happen.” I try to shut that idea down as soon as possible. We can take Novak down; I just don’t want to go in there without all the information we need. He’s got secrets, he’s a sneaky fucker, and we need to know if he has anyone in his pocket helping him, before we go in and take him down. We’ve been working on this plan for over a year now and I refuse to let some little FBI agent with a hot body and pretty face ruin it for us.

“Think about it man,” Blais says seriously.

“It’s honestly not the worst idea.” Theon shrugs, looking at me with a heavy gaze.
