They shared a mournful look at the lost opportunity for a

shower, or how at least it would have to be put off, then they

both started giggling.

“He’ll lead us on a horrible chase, as he always does,”

Adalynn stated.

“He will,” Cassia agreed. “And he won’t stop until he tires

us out and sees that we’re getting tired of the game, then he

may or may not have mercy on us.”

Adalynn took Cassia’s hand and together they turned around

to go get their little escape artist.
