“Let’s do our best to enjoy this, Gina. Tonight, I’ll fuck that mouth of yours again.”

The spellbinding veil falls from around Gina as she smirks. “No, we have to getthisover with, Santino. I neglected to inform you that our Thanksgiving tradition extends all night. It includes everyone. We string lights for Christmas.”

“Then round two after that . . .”

“Actually, not everyone. Geraldine and her toy leave. We can too.”

I clamp her face. “We will stay.”

“Why?” Gina snorts.

“You called it a tradition, sweetheart.”

“Oh, alright, keep your dick to yourself,” she says, lips chattering. “Santino . . . really? No response . . .?”

My shoulders lift.

“Like I told you, the inside of the home is professionally done. The charade tonight includes selecting some of last year’s decorations. At the very best, we’ll string a few lights—maybe take a few photos for the local paper. A professional will come like a thief in the night, voila! Everything’s perfect.”

“I don’t care about all that, Bella. We’re staying.”

“No, we’re not. I advise you not to look at me like I’m in trouble. Keep that delicious, thick, veiny, long, fat dick to yourself. Choke it with your hand for all I care.Geraldine!” My future wife’s curvy legs saunter toward the house.

Chewing my bottom lip, I wait a few moments, watch them hug, jumping up and down. I then follow.

Geraldine says, “I never get to see you, Gina!”

“I was about to call you and cuss you out! I thought you were skipping the farce this year!”

“No, Gina. I’m just creating a bit of suspense. Our patriarchgets one day out of 365. Have I ever not followed through?”

“Yes!”

The ladies giggle and chat while a man with dreads comes around a rented SUV. We shake hands, exchanging names.

“Santino, it’s been, what, ten minutes? I admire you already. I owe you a beer. You just saved my life.” Zane laughs. “The father detests me. Seven whole years, and I’m the most hated man in the universe. Now, here you come.”

“Aw, man, can’t be that bad?”

The front doors fly open and another woman who resembles them both comes out.

The new addition has to be Gabriella. Her slender hips swish around like a princess. With a pinched nose, she looks down at us all.

She says, “Geraldine, our baby sister was acting like a hooker when I started down the stairs earlier. Didn’t see me, but I heard ev-ery-thing.What have you been teaching her?”

I glance from her to Gina as Zane mutters, “Yup. The gloves are coming off.”

“Hi, Gabby!” Gina forces a smile.

Both the oldest and youngest surround the sour-faced middle sister in a hug.

“Baby Zane,” Gabriella scoffs.

Zane retorts. “Baby? I’m older than you, gyal.”

“Humph, are you older than Geral—”

“I will snatch out that entire horse!” Geraldine shouts.
