As we walked out, I heard them announce Jason, and just moments after that, they called me out. The girl in the lingerie walked out first, with a sign held over her head. We followed, but I wasn’t ready for the amount of people that were here. It was easily quadruple the amount of people I had ever fought in front of. People cheered for me like they knew who I was and it was alarming to say the least. I was way out of my element.

We made it to the cage where they ushered me in to stand in front of Jason. The ref gave us the rundown on the rules. Jason smirked at me like he had this in the bag while I kept my face neutral, not giving anything away. Looking bored got under most guys’ skin, but I know Jason had done shit like this a few times, so it did not fool him. He was shirtless, and he looked at my tight tank in question. I usually fight shirtless, but like hell was I going to let him know I had an injury.

“Everyone clear?” The ref looked at both of us and we nodded. “Alright in your corners, guys.” Jason glared at me like he had something to prove, but I knew the uninterested expression was getting to him.

I walked back to where Aiden and Nathan were standing and looked around, still a little shocked at the amount of people that were here. Aiden and Nathan were arguing about something, as they kept looking over Nathan’s shoulder. I looked to where they were looking at but saw nothing to worry about.

“He’s needs to know before he’s blind sided during the fight,” Nathan growled at Aiden.

“It might ruin the whole fight,” Aiden snapped back again, looking right behind Nathan.

They both looked at me as I stood before them, raising my eyebrows at them. “What happened?”

“Nothing.” Aiden glared at Nathan.

Nathan glared back, but then looked back over his shoulder, and I followed his line of sight. I immediately froze when I saw what they had seen. After all that I tried to do, it came back to bite me in the ass, anyway. Nathan was right. I should have listened to him and got ahead of this game that had started. Lucio was in the front row, and Jane stood right next to him like she was his date.
