“Keep telling yourself that,” Jade chuckled.

“Even if there was a look. Once anyone learns I have kids they run off before I have the chance to tell them there’s no baby daddy drama.”

“Baby daddy drama,” Jade laughed.

“Well, I wouldn’t put it like that. You tell them you’re involved with Sunshine Youth home and you adopted two foster children.”

“Doesn’t matter, it never gets that far,” she says, waving off the conversation.

“So, I know we have the book signing on Tuesday but are we doing any actual writing on this trip?”

“I sat out on the side deck this morning after I grabbed a coffee from Bean Boozled,” Taylor said, eager to change the subject.

“I thought I heard you leave this morning.”

“I didn’t want to wake you. You looked like you needed the rest,” she explained, kicking back.

“It seemed like you were gone quite a while.”

“Was I?” Her voice trailed off.

“Why do I feel like there’s more to the story than you’re letting on?” Jade asked, slipping her sunglasses down her nose to get a better look.

Blushing, Taylor pretended to be distracted. “I have no idea?” She shook her head. “I thought we were changing the subject?”

“Alright, now we know there’s more to the story. Spill it,” I joined in.

“You guys just don’t give it a rest, do you?” she chuckled. “Fine. I may have run into Bradly along the way,” she mumbled.

"Wait, this morning the two of you acted like you hadn’t met before,” I said, quirking my brow.

“Yeah, well, I was embarrassed,” she trailed off.

“Embarrassed? Embarrassed about what?” I pressed.

“I kind of ran into him. Literally.

“Oh, my God. You didn’t?” Jade laughed.

“I did,” she replied, covering her face. “And my coffee spilled all over him in the process,” she shook her head. “I swear I have the worst luck.”

“Is Bradly okay? I know how hot you take your coffee.”

“There was coffee all down his dress shirt and I think I might have burned him,” she cries.

“Seriously. Oh my God, that’s horrible.”

“He said it was no big deal, but it felt like a big deal to me.”

“And girl, those suits he wears aren’t cheap,” Jade added. “Trust me.”

Every time I think I’m able to stop thinking about Logan, something else comes up and I think about him all over again. “I’m kind of loving how they wear suits, though. Before they drafted Logan, I only saw him in a suit at our school dances. Now every time I see him, he’s dressed well.”

Taylor and Jade both looked at me.

“What?” I smirked. “Like either of you hadn’t noticed.”

“You are totally head over heels for him, aren’t you?” Jade asked with sincerity.
