The bathroom had lookedlike a fucking lingerie store. Jonah closed his bedroom door and took a deep breath.

Lacy’s bright eyes had tracked him from the bathroom to the bedroom with mild interest before returning to her show.

He hadn’t shared a bathroom with anyone for years. He figured he’d see floral scented shampoos and purple poofs with softly perfumed shower gel in the shower, but he hadn’t been prepared for underwear.

Women’s undergarments had covered the bathroom. Brasandpanties. Not sweet grandma undergarments either. Lace-covered, soft-colored bras and lace-edged matching silky underwear. It might as well have been a declaration from Lacy she was a woman who wore sexy panties.

And his brain had melted with images of Lacy last night and this morning in those pajamas that should have been the furthest thing from sexy, but on her body. . . . Shit. Add silky panties that begged to be touched and. . . .

Fuck.

He wasn’t supposed to think about his roommate like that. She should be a non-sexual being who happened to share the same space. Instead, she curled up on the couch, watching some movie, looking sweet and wholesome, but now he knew her taste in naughty underwear.

Add to the silky skin she’d flashed him this morning and he needed to get the fuck out of there and get laid before his dick made him do something truly stupid.

He glanced at the clock and cursed. It was still too early to go out. He walked over to the chair and picked up his copy ofAmerican Godsby Neil Gaiman. He hoped it would distract him for a while before he could reasonably go out.

As the light outside the window faded, he set down the book. Still a little early but fuck it. He could grab a bite to eat and drink at a bar before heading to the club.

He stepped out of his room and closed the door. Lacy looked up at him with wide eyes. The book had helped, but his gaze dipped down to her breasts. Her shirt clung to her curves. He needed to leave. He crossed behind the couch on his way to the door, catching her peaches and cream scent.

At the door, he stopped. Maybe he should ask her to join him for dinner at least. To be nice. Silence filled the room as the sound cut off. He lifted his gaze to find her curious eyes.

What the hell was wrong with him. No sharing of food. No taking out the roommate. No being nice and making her believe he was someone she should get to know.

He wasn’t.

He shook his head and strode out the door. Tugging it closed, he locked the door from the outside. He knew exactly who to find tonight to get the little bird out of his mind.
