He was just saying that, but I couldn’t help but want to believe he was talking about every day as in forever.

“In fact, you could make lunch and dinner too.”

“Are you giving up cooking?” I asked.

“I’m saving myself for all the activity your cooking will give me the energy to do.”

I laughed. “Every day?”

“Everyday. Forever.”

My gaze shot to his. His green eyes studied me. He inhaled a deep breath and then got out of his chair. He knelt before me and my heart jumped to my throat.

“This might seem a little fast, but I know without a doubt that I’ll never love anyone like I love you. If you think you could love me forever too, we could make it official.”

My head was bobbing up and down, and he hadn’t even asked me yet.

“I’m sorry I don’t have a ring, but I’ll get you the biggest, brightest one. Whatever you want, Morgan. All I ask is that you marry me.”

“Yes. Oh yes, Kade.” I flung myself out of the chair and into his arms. We probably looked like loons on our knees, hugging on the deck.

“Not the ring,” I clarified, not wanting him to think I cared about that. “I don’t need a ring. I just need you. Only you. Forever.”
