“Okay. Yeah, whatever,” I murmured, standing up to take care of the dishes. After seeing his body last night, I didn’t trust myself not to drool over him in that tailored suit. It was always such a tease when he had clothes on, like a Christmas gift you couldn’t wait to unwrap. Not that I had lots of Christmas gifts, but the few times I had, it was how I felt.

“I need to go to work. Do you need anything?” he said. His voice came close, and I turned around to face him, but he was so much closer than I thought. I could see the stubble on his cheeks, small wrinkles around his eyes, the soft crook of his otherwise perfect nose.

I hated how much resembles we shared, but I pushed it away. I shook my head to answer his question.

I gasped when his hand snaked around my neck, lifting my head to make me look at him. His thumb softly caressed the sensitive skin under my ear, and I had to bite my lip. When his other hand reached my face his hold on my neck didn’t let me put any distance, I watched him with anticipation and a little bit of panic. Panic for my own reaction at whatever he was about to do. He caressed my cheekbone with his knuckles

before tracing my lip.

“What are you doing?” I whispered. Finally the fog in my mind lifted a little.

He gave me a small smile, before bringing his face closer to mine.

Would he… was he going to kiss me?

But before I could entertain that idea, he slowly whispered, “Don’t hurt yourself.”

I blinked, parted my lips. I blinked again. Swallowed and licked my lips.

“Did you hear me, baby? Do. Not. Hurt. Yourself.” His voice was soft but also strong.

Being overwhelmed with this moment, I just nodded.

He smirked.

I watched.

And I was still watching as he left the house and closed the door behind him.

It was dark, and I could see the mansions dotted both sides of the road, but as we kept driving, the houses became less and less frequent. Finally, we were far away from the houses. The only thing that accompanied us was the forest.

I frowned when Zeke turned onto a road between the trees. There was nothing I could see around but the periodically placed lights. If someone lighted the road, there must be something at the end of this path. Leaning back on my seat, I breathed softly and tried to calm my nerves. Being in a closed space with Zeke was a good reason for me to get anxious, but we were both dressed well like this was a kind of date.

I pulled down the hem of the dress he made me wear. It was a little black dress. The fabric wrapped my body so well it flattered my skinny figure. The mid-thigh length of it was stressing but wearing a pair of boots made me feel more comfortable.

Zeke was in dark jeans and black shirt with a black blazer. I had to make my hand into a fist not to stare at him during the drive. He was too beautiful for my stupid heart to deal with.

Finally, my fight against my will-power didn’t have to continue any longer, because we slowed down at a big gate. Zeke hit a button on a small controller, and the gate opened in front of us, slowly, almost sensually, I felt my heart beat faster.

We drove past a garden and came to a stop in front of a mansion. It was glowing with soft lights, looking almost haunting with the dim red lights. The lights gave an illusion of flames like the mansion was on fire.

I had a hard time taking my eyes away from the two-story building in front of me when Zeke opened my door and outstretched his hand to help me out. Hesitantly, I placed my hand in his, trying to be confident, but he wrapped his hand around mine, swallowing my small hand in his big and strong one.

He pushed the small button on the wall I hadn’t noticed, and a man opened the door. He was so big he almost covered the entire door.

“Goodnight, Master Wyatt,” he said with a curt nod.

“Goodnight, Dean,” Zeke answered him.

Master?

Maybe I heard wrong, I thought as I let Zeke guide me inside.

Dean opened another door for us, and a blonde with an outfit that reminded me of my bar outfit greeted us. Looking at her see-through shirt and a black skirt that hardly cover her ass, I thought hers looked classier, even though it was more revealing.

“Master Wyatt?” she said excitedly. “Welcome, sir,” she added. She had the hots for Zeke. It was too obvious, I almost pitied the girl, but then I snorted at my own thoughts. No one would’ve been as obvious and pathetic as me. I scared him away for fuck’s sake.
