“I’m feeling better. Thank you.”

“I can make you feel much better than this…if you want.” Alex said with nervous playfulness.

“Alex! Not the right time. Sleep.” Xander commanded angrily.

“Are you really offering me sex, right now?” I rolled my eyes at him.

“I just want you to feel better, relaxed. I just want to make you forget all the shitty things for awhile.” Alex murmured. He looked so guilty, innocent and cute at the same time.

“Alex! Quit it. Keep your dick in your pants and sleep.” Xander snapped at him.

“I’m sorry, Dawn.” Alex murmured. He called me Dawn for the first time.

“It felt strange when you called me Dawn. I got used to Violet, I think,” I said and touched his arm.

“Come closer.”

He was confused but did what I said.

“Thank you for trying to make me feel better, but can we just cuddle and sleep tonight?” I caressed his hair.

“Yes, we can and we will.” Xander said sternly and tightened his arms around me.

“Whatever you want, gorgeous.” Alex said and tried to place his arm around me but Xander’s hold didn’t give him the space.

“Share her, bro. You’ll suffocate her.” Alex snapped at his brother but his voice was amused.

I turned my body in Xander’s arm and faced him. His face was controlled but his look gave me strange feelings. His gaze was intense, penetrating and hypnotizing.

I sighed when Alex cuddled me from behind. I felt safe, wanted and like I belonged somewhere.

“Thank you. You guys are making everything better. Thank you,” I whispered and closed my eyes.

“Help me!”

I was running through the dark. I couldn’t see an inch in front of me. I turned around in panic. The ground was shaking beneath my feet.

“Help me! Please!”

“Angel?” I yelled into the darkness.

I extended my hands in front of me, and they touched a hard surface. I followed it through the dark. The voice came from everywhere.

“Why don’t you come and find me?!” The voice sounded angry now. The hatred I’ve heard in it made me shudder.

“I’m trying, Angel. Believe me, I’m trying,” I sobbed. I couldn’t stand to hear the hatred in her voice. She was disappointed in me, angry with me.

“Help me!”

The screams were filled with pain. I walked faster but I couldn’t see where I was headed.

“I’m here!” Screams turned into sobs.

“I can’t see you. Where are you? Angel?!” I cried out. But all I could hear was the echo of my own voice.

I quickened my pace but my hands reached another wall in front of me. I turned to my right and walked but there was another wall. I tried to find a way to get out this cell but the place was closing on me.

“Help me!” Another scream filled the air.
