“Lydia’s father Alister Carmichael said hello.”

His eyes lit up. “We were good friends in college. He’s a great guy!”

“He and I should catch up some time.”

“He’s sick, but I’m sure he would like that,” Lydia stated.

“Yes, after Lydia’s mother passed away her father became ill. He could no longer work, so Lydia decided to bear the brunt of the responsibility. She works in her current position because its lucrative. Her job allows her to live comfortably as well as pay her father’s medical bills.”

“I’m sorry for your loss Lydia,” my father said.

My mother placed her hand on my father’s arm. “Dear, Lydia is on a full academic scholarship at Georgia State University.”

“I’m sorry I judged you Lydia. I hope you can forgive me.”

Lydia smiled. “I do.”

She waved her hands toward herself. “Please tell me all the stories you can about Hayden growing up.”

“Mom, dad please don’t.”

We all laughed.

CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE

LYDIA

Hayden’s mother and I hit it off instantly. We gossiped about movie stars in Hollywood, fashion, and favorite movies. I loved having her share in my special day.

I Face-Timed my father so he could see me in my dress. He shed a tear and told me he was happy for me.

I watched Hayden’s special video message right before I walked down the aisle.

Lydia, from the first moment our lips touched, I knew you were the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I look forward to our journey together.

I almost cried, then I remembered I didn’t want to ruin my makeup.

The look in Hayden’s eyes when he lifted my veil was adoration. To be loved by a man like Hayden Gaster is truly special. I am the happiest girl alive right now. Today turned out to be perfect. Having both of his parents here was a treat. Hayden was understandably bitter toward his father. I wanted us to focus on our happy occasion. I’m relieved no one mentioned his sister Victoria. Our happy day would have been tarnished. Hayden didn’t rush to take his job back either. I think he wanted his father to stew in his own guilt for a while.

Hayden and I are going on our honeymoon. We are reclined in our comfortable chairs on our jet watching a movie. I think the time off is good for Hayden. Hell, good for me too. My eyes shot down at my hand admiring the beautiful 10-karat diamond ring on my finger. “Are you ok Mr. Gaster?”

“I’m perfect Mrs. Gaster.”

My body tingled from the inside out. I love hearing my new last name. I’m a married woman at the young age of twenty-two. Hayden squeezed my arm, I snuggled my head against his chest.

Hayden and I turned in around midnight. Standing in the dim master bedroom, I peeled my clothes from my body striking a sexy pose.

“Baby, what are you doing?”

“Consummating our marriage.”

“Lydia, we will later in the afternoon. I have a special day planned for you.”

I pouted. “Hayden, I’ve waiting long enough.” My tongue swirled around his neck.

“I love you, baby. We can wait a little while longer.” Hayden grabbed my arms holding me back.

“Lydia, I don’t want to wake up and find you riding my dick. Do you hear me?” Hayden tried keeping a straight face.

I burst into laughter. Then I purred. “Yes, daddy, I understand.”

Hayden’s dick flew to attention. “Lydia, you’re being a bad girl again.”

I shrugged. “I know.”

Laying at Hayden’s side, I watched as he jacked off then fell asleep. I couldn’t believe it. I was tempted to lick up his cum, but I felt like I would be betraying him on our no sex night. We are finally married and I still have to wait to have sex.

Dressed in the winter clothes we recently purchased from a ski shop in Iceland, we drove to our cabin. I was excited to ski again. It’s been a long time. The large dark brown cabin with red trim windows, and a white door was inviting. Once we settled in we hit the slopes. The ski slopes were massive. All you could see was snow as far as the eye could see. We stood at the top. “Hayden, it’s been awhile.”

“I know, you’ve said that a million times on our ride up the ski lift. Babe, it’s like riding a bike.” Hayden pulled his ski hat down over his ears, then pulled his blue ski glasses over his eyes.
