Ben waved a waitress over.

“Hayden let me sit next to Lydia for a sec. He scooted next to her. I sat at the end of the booth.

He placed a menu in her hand.

“Tell me what’s your favorite Italian dish? If it isn’t on the menu I can make it.”

“I love lasagna, but I would like to try something different. How about the veal parmesan?”

“Great choice.” Ben told the waitress our orders.

Since I live down the street from Atlas, I have lunch here about three times a month.

“I better get back to the kitchen, I’ll be back.”

We each drank a glass of red wine.

“Lydia, are you working on a special software?” Sebastian asked.

“I am. It’s taking me longer to develop. My laptop doesn’t have enough speed to accommodate my software design.” Her eyes shot over to me. “That isn’t code for Hayden buy me a computer.”

“Hayden, let me.” Sebastian smiled at Lydia.

“Lydia, it’s in Hayden’s nature to take care of you. There is no way that a man should be ok with his woman struggling financially and he has enough money to burn. Let him buy you the new lap and desktop. I will tell him everything you need, so you won’t ever have design issues again.”

“Thank you, Mr. Johansen.”

“Call me Sebastian please. If you chose to come to work for me I live in L.A. full time. Training under me means you would have to move to L.A.”

I wanted to kill Sebastian. I haven’t told Lydia about California yet.

“You can also choose to train under one of my best software techs here in Atlanta. No rush to make a decision.”

“Thank you, Sebastian.”

CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

HAYDEN

Dinner was great. Lydia and Sebastian mainly talked software. I watched as her eyes lit up as they discussed computers.

She leaned forward. “You gave Hayden my father’s phone number and address! Oh my God, it just clicked. You are the best hacker there is. Stop helping him do crafty shit!” her eyebrow raised.

Sebastian laughed. “Sorry, Lydia. Hacking is what I do. I love a challenge. Besides he’s my cousin. He was hysterical the other day. He had to know where you were and see that you were ok. If he wouldn’t have I would have beat his ass. He’s a good guy. Officially, a retired playboy.” He smiled.

I laughed.

“Alright love birds, I’m going home to take a nap. Hayden call me when you are ready.”

“Ok.”

“Thanks again for everything Sebastian,” Lydia smiled.

Wrapping my arm around Lydia’s waist, I pulled her close, connecting our lips. She was butter in my hands. Her soft hands ran up the back of my hair. I pulled back because we were in a restaurant and she and I were losing control. She rested her head on my shoulder as I drank my wine.

“Hayden, where are you two going tonight?”

“Lydia, don’t worry about it. You make sure you are lying in my bed when I get back.”

She pressed her lips against my ear. “Hayden, I told you before, you can’t go after every man who touches me wrong.”

My fist came down firm on the table. My angry eyes met her worried ones. “I told you, I would break a motherfucker’s fingers if he touched you wrong. End of fucking discussion!”

She scooted farther away. I pulled her back intertwining our fingers. “I won’t apologize for taking care of my woman.”

“Hayden, I’m not your woman.”

“Yeah, ok.”

All the shit Lydia talked about me not being her man meant nothing. She still laid in my arms that night, kissing my chest. I think it makes her feel better to tell herself, she’s not my woman. Yet her naked pussy rubbed back and forth over my dick. Yep, she was naked lying in bed with me. Talk about self-control. I think she tries to push me into having sex with her as crazy as that sounds.

Before I left the house, I held her in my arms rubbing her pussy until she came. Lydia drifted off to sleep.

Standing in the dark alley under my dark hat. I checked my watch from behind my black sunglasses. I was invisible in the black jacket, khakis, and Gore-Tex boots. I waited for Bobby to exit the bar.

“Eric, he’s moving your way. You are all clear.” On this mission we will keep our real names a secret, only using code names.
