“Now you’re going to make up for everything you made me wait for last night. Do you have any idea how long I had to stand under a cold shower because of you?”

Allison looked at him, confused by the sudden question.

Silas’s gaze lingered on her lips before lifting to meet her eyes, warmth and desire darkening his expression. He leaned closer, his voice dropping to an intimate murmur. “More than two hours. I couldn’t make it go down.”

Her eyes widened as she understood what he meant. She instinctively glanced down at his trousers before looking back up at him, her face burning.

Silas caught her reaction and smiled before leaning in to kiss her again.

He continued kissing her, his mouth moving over hers again and again until Allison barely had a chance to catch her breath. She pressed her hands against his chest and finally managed to pull back.

“I need to leave for work,” she told him, trying to steady her breathing. “Give me some time. We can do this tonight.”

Silas looked at her with an unhappy expression. “Can't you put it off until later?”

Allison shook her head, guilt flickering across her face. “I can't. I really have something important to take care of at work today.”

He let out a disappointed sigh, but when he spoke again, his voice was still thick with desire. “Fine. I'll let you go, but tonight, you're going to do things my way. The entire night. And you're not allowed to say no to anything.”

Allison stared at him, her eyes widening slightly. She leaned closer and whispered, “What exactly do you want to do?”

“I want to tie you up,” he replied without hesitation. “And blindfold you.”

She immediately pressed a finger against his nose and pushed his face away from hers, scolding him with a disapproving look.

“Can you behave yourself for once? Otherwise, I'm going to make you sleep on the couch every night.”

She turned to leave, shaking her head at him.

Silas laughed behind her. “I'm not backing out of this!”

He followed her with an affectionate smile, then asked, “Do you need a driver, or should I drop you off myself?”

“I don't need anyone. I'm fine on my own. I'll drive myself.”

“All right. Come here first.”

Allison stepped closer, and Silas immediately leaned down to kiss her. She returned the kiss, her hands resting against his chest, before he finally pulled away.

“I'll see you tonight,” he murmured. “Call me if you need anything, okay?”

“Okay.”

He kissed her cheeks repeatedly, showering her with affection even as she tried to leave. It was clearly difficult for him to let her go, and he kept drawing her back for one more kiss until Allison finally managed to escape his arms and leave for work.

A little while after Allison left, Frank walked into the house and stopped in front of Silas.

Silas picked up a sandwich and began eating as Frank started his report.

“Sir, I've looked into the details. It turns out Mrs. Black's parents were business partners with Justin Sterling. Their partnership was going well until Mrs. Black's parents were killed in a car accident.”

Silas stopped chewing and raised his eyes toward Frank, listening intently.

“After their deaths, Justin Sterling took control of more than half the business by deceiving Mr. Herrera and Mrs. Black. They were still very young at the time and probably didn't understand what was happening. Once he had secured the larger share, he cut off contact with Shane and left them on the verge of bankruptcy.”

Frank paused briefly before continuing.

“But instead it grew far beyond what Justin probably expected. Instead of driving them into bankruptcy, the company became what it is today. The Sterlings still hold their share of the business, but their company isn't nearly as healthy or successful as Evermont Healthcare.”
