Summer stared at her for a moment before raising her eyebrows.

“You do realize you have someone you can ask for help now, right? Why don’t you ask Silas? I’m sure he has plenty of warehouse space available. He works with firearms, after all. He must have access to much larger storage facilities than you do.”

Allison considered her suggestion for a moment, biting her lower lip as she thought it over. Then she nodded.

She pulled out her phone and opened her messages with Silas, typing out a text.

‘Silas, can I use one of your warehouses to store my shipment? I’ll pay you rent for the space.’

She expected him to be busy and assumed it would take a while for him to respond. To her surprise, however, his reply arrived within seconds.

‘I’ll ask Frank to arrange it and send you the passcodes for three warehouses. If you need anything else, let me know. I’ll take care of it.’

Allison had barely finished reading when another message appeared on her screen.

‘As for the rent, you don't need to pay me. My wife has plenty of other ways to repay me, and I enjoy those far more than money.’

Allison's cheeks immediately flushed. A shy smile spread across her face as she tried to suppress it.

Summer watched her with growing curiosity.

“What happened?” she asked, narrowing her eyes playfully.

Allison quickly locked her phone and tried to compose herself before answering.

“The warehouse problem is sorted. Silas said he’d arrange everything for me.”

Summer's face brightened with satisfaction. “See? I told you! Of course he would help you. You're his wife now.”

A moment later, Allison switched to another tab on her tablet and turned the screen toward Summer.

“Does this look good?” she asked, showing her a photograph of a limited-edition Rolex.

Summer stared at the picture, and her face lit up immediately.

“Oh my God, Allison! It looks so freaking good!” she exclaimed, leaning closer to admire the watch. Then she noticed the price and looked up at her friend with widened eyes. “But look at how much it costs. Are you sure you want to buy it? It’s incredibly expensive.”

Allison glanced down at the photograph again, thinking about Silas and the way he had looked at her, his voice soft with affection. A small smile touched her lips.

“He doesn’t deserve anything cheap,” she replied.

She paused, then continued, her expression growing thoughtful. “Besides, his family has given me so many expensive gifts that I’ve lost count of how much everything must have cost. I really want to give him something special too. A wedding gift.”

Summer's eyes widened with delight. She placed both hands against her cheeks and wiggled her eyebrows mischievously.

“Oh, a wedding gift!” she teased. “Did he give you something, too?”

Allison smiled, setting the tablet down on the table.

“Yes. He transferred fifty million dollars into my account as our wedding gift.”

Summer's jaw dropped. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she stared at Allison.

“Fifty million dollars?” she repeated, barely containing her astonishment.

Then, as another thought occurred to her, she leaned forward eagerly.

“Since Silas is away, can I stay at your place for a few nights? I've never seen his house, and I'm dying to see what his world is like. It must be incredible! Besides, we haven't had a sleepover in ages. Why don't we have a girls' night at your place?”
