by C.D. Gorri

So many things about this man I have yet to learn.

I still don't know what he is.

Witch?

Shifter?

Not even in Castor's Corner.

But all those questions can wait. Because Grimm is staring at me like I'm the only thing in the world he can see.

A low sound rumbles from his chest.

Deep.

Rough.

Possessive.

My entire body tingles.

I've heard something almost like that before. The thought flashes through my mind.

A huge black head beneath my hand. Warm fur sliding between my fingers. A rumble vibrating beneath my palm.

My Wolf.

I frown.

For just a second.

Then Grimm's hands tighten around my waist and his mouth lowers toward mine. The thought disappears before I can catch hold of it.

And right now? I'm not particularly interested in chasing it.

Because Grimm's mouth moves down my neck and coherent thought becomes impossible.

Magic hums beneath my skin. Mine. His.

Both?

I don't know anymore.

The air itself seems charged. The lights flicker. Something rattles on my dresser. I laugh breathlessly.

“Are we doing that?”

“Apparently.”

“Good. I'd hate to think my house was haunted.”

His laugh vibrates against my throat.

Then his expression changes.
