His smile expanded. “I’m hybrid, so no.”
“Well, which part of you is here? The man or the vampire?”
He grinned but still didn’t move. “Both.”
“Why aren’t you moving?” I questioned
“I’m trying to decide if this is a good idea.”
“It’s not but you’re here,” I said and he chuckled, entering my place. I shut us in and turned to face him. Kyron walked right up to me, hooked my chin, and his mouth was on mine. With his fingers stroking my jaw, he kissed me deep, with a certainty that shouldn’t have been there. We were strangers.
His hand dropped to my hip, pulling me in closer. My body was weak which he sensed. Strong fingers held me tighter before he tilted my head back, changing the depth of our kiss. It became more intense while he savored me. Eventually he let up and his teeth grazed over my lower lip. He allowed enough space for me to put my eyes on him.
Those dark eyes were intense and hooded when I was gifted that sexy, deep voice. “I feel you.”
“Your hands are on me,” I said, trying to ease the intensity of the moment.
He smirked. “You got jokes.”
“I’m nervous.”
His voice dropped deeper. “You scared of me, Uri?”
Oh god, him saying my name was a problem. And making this ten times worse.
“Nope.”
“Then why are you nervous?” he asked, trailing a light feathering of kisses along the curve of my jaw.
“Because I know why you’re here.”
My core clenched and I prayed his senses weren’t that receptive.
“Do you?” My hips were dragged forward and my core tightened more when I felt the pressure of him against me.
“Yeah,” I said, swallowing the moan that was about to embarrass me.
The arrogance in his smile was unnerving. His hand moved to my wrist and his fingers ghosted over the last bite mark he gifted me with. “I like to eat.”
“And I like living. If we keep this up, I’m not going to have any blood left in my veins.”
“You can say no.” His tone was so damn arrogant because he knew I wouldn’t.
He smirked.
“Is that the only reason you’re here?” I asked.
“No.”
My eyes lifted to his. “Care to share the other reason why?”
“Not yet. Yes or no?” His fingers stroked the bite mark and heat flooded my body again.
“Yes.”
I was lifted from the floor, my legs instantly locked around his waist and my arms went to his neck as he carried me to the kitchen. I landed on the counter and he stepped between my thighs. The oversized tee I had on was up around my waist but I didn’t care.
“What are you doing?”
