I straighten and head for the door, pulling it shut and turning the lock behind me.
When I pass Tank, I mutter, “Check in hourly.”
He nods, and I head down the hall with Ruin in tow.
“I don’t want to hear it,” I mutter.
“Didn’t say a word,” Ruin throws back, but I don’t miss the amusement in his voice.
CHAPTER 5
KAYLIE
I wait until I hear the lock slide into place before I dare to move. When I’m sure no one is coming back, I sit up and drag my knees to my chest.
Part of me thinks I should feel ashamed.
What I let Judge do to me is abhorrent, and yet something inside me refuses to hate myself for it. I’ve orgasmed before. With a toy. But never with anyone. And definitely not like that.
I rest my chin atop my knees and let my thoughts wander.
I’m young. Inexperienced.
I have plenty of time to find someone who makes me feel that good. Because I refuse to believe Judge is it for me.
And yet the thought of anyone else touching me that way feels so wrong.
I shake off that feeling.
Judge is just like the rest of them. It doesn’t matter that I asked him for it in the moment.
I can’t give in like that again. One way or another, I’m going to find a way out of here.
He didn’t hurt you. He caught you trying to run, and he didn’t punish you. Doesn’t that mean you should give this a shot?
I scowl at those wayward thoughts and shake my head. I can’t think that way. I just can’t. Judge is the President of a motorcycle club. Danger will always follow him. I can’t live that kind of life.
With that in mind, I scurry from the bed and take stock of my surroundings once more. The windows are short and wide, but not big enough for me to slip through.
They’re also too high to reach, even if I move the bed beneath them.
I groan with frustration and pace the room. They let me out earlier. Maybe they will again?
There’s a knock on the door, but before I can answer, Tank enters. He’s holding a plate of food, and my stomach drops.
He flashes me a smile and a wink. “Hungry?”
I would throw the food in his face and tell him to leave me alone, but he doesn’t deserve it. And after that orgasm, I can’t deny I’m hungry. My eyes lock on the sandwich and salad, and my stomach grumbles.
Tank chuckles. “Thought so.” He places the food on the bed, then moves to the side of the room and leans against the wall. When I don’t move, he gestures toward the plate. “Prez wants me to keep an eye on you. That includes making sure the fork on your plate goes back to the kitchen.”
My gaze drifts to the would-be weapon, and I sigh. “Smart,” I mutter dryly.
He chuckles again, a dimple flashing in his cheek.
I move to the bed and perch on the edge. It’s weird to have someone watching me eat, but I can’t do anything about it.
Our eyes meet briefly before I take my first bite.
