Lucia’s skimpy skirt barely covered her pubic area, and the crowd’s attention was already drifting back toward her. When Natalia saw Jesus tugging Lucia down, she impulsively sounded the horn.

“I choose Jes—”

Suddenly airborne, she thought she had lost her precarious footing and was falling. Only when her belly landed across Wizard’s shoulder and his arm locked around her legs did she realize he had thrown her over his shoulder.

“Put me down!” she yelled.

Ignoring her, Wizard strode through the parting crowd. Furious, Natalia tried to throw herself off his shoulder.

“Have you lost your mind?” she shrieked.

“The only person who’s lost their mind tonight is you.”

She could hear him clearly. Raising her head, she discovered that the entire club had fallen silent. Even the music had stopped, and everyone was staring at her.

Belatedly remembering the warning he had given her on their first date, she decided it would be prudent to leave the club as soon as possible. As much as she wanted to help Marco and prevent Lucia from making a mistake, she hadn’t completely lost her mind.

“Arden!” she yelled.

Bracing herself on her elbows, she managed to lift herself halfway up his back to search for her friend.

Wizard delivered another hard smack to her bottom, and Natalia struggled more fiercely.

“You son of a bitch! Do that again—”

Wizard didn’t wait to hear the rest of her threat before landing another hard smack on her ass.

Fury rattled through her with the force of a hurricane. She promised herself she would slam him into the next century the moment he put her down.

Going limp, she stared at the floor as he carried her down a hallway. Upside down, she watched him pass through a doorway and kick the door shut with the heel of his boot.

She expected to be set on her feet. Instead, he tossed her onto a soft bed.

Natalia looked up, apprehension tightening her chest at the sight of Wizard’s icy expression.

“Just to be clear,” he said, his cold voice sending chills down her spine, “were you about to say Jesus’ name?” He leaned over her and placed a hand around the front of her throat.

Belligerently lifting her chin, she darted her eyes around the room, searching for an escape.

“It’s none of your business whose name I was about to say unless it was yours, which it wasn’t. Do you normally interfere when women choose?”

Wizard’s cold eyes narrowed. “No, but I made an exception for you.”

“You shouldn’t have bothered.” Blowing a strand of hair away from her face, she stared up at him defiantly. “I knew what I was doing.”

“Really?” he drawled. “So, you would’ve let Jesus spread you out on that table and eat your pussy?”

No, she wouldn’t have, but Wizard couldn’t know for certain that she had been bluffing. She had only been trying to buy time until she could devise a more sensible plan, one that didn’t involve putting on an explicit show for forty or fifty bikers.

Wizard’s yanking her off the table might have solved her dilemma … if she didn’t have the sinking feeling that she had jumped out of the frying pan and into the scorching fire.

“You had no intention of letting Jesus lay a hand on any part of your body.”

“I guess we’ll never know.” She glared at him stubbornly, refusing to admit jack shit while he was staring at her like that.

Straightening, he stood over her, his expression turning even colder. “I don’t like ruining a brother’s fun.” A slow smile curved Wizard’s sensuous lips.

Every muscle in her body tensed. She suddenly felt like a rabbit caught in a trap of its own making.
