Ruled By Wizard

She’d tried to scrub it from her memory every day since, without success.

When she remained silent, Wizard arched his brows questioningly. “Cat got your tongue? Or aren’t you as brave when we’re alone?” His mouth curved. “Don’t let that stop you. I promise to be a gentleman. Despite what you think, I am capable of it.”

He leaned back slightly. “Let me help you get started. Did you come to insult the size of my dick again? Tell me I’m a piece of shit? Come on; I can take anything you dish out.”

“I came to ask for a favor.”

Wizard’s surprise was evident. He had clearly expected a verbal attack, and her request lowered his guard.

If she hadn’t known he was the president of a cutthroat motorcycle club, she might not have been able to resist the sexual allure he projected. The harsh lines that gave his face a ruthless edge smoothed out, making him appear almost approachable, as if stepping out of line around him wouldn’t put her life at risk.

Settling into his chair, Wizard linked his hands over his flat abdomen and used the heels of his boots to swivel back and forth.

Trying not to notice how his jeans cupped his cock in that position, Natalia pressed a finger to the corner of her mouth. She pretended to check her lipstick in the reflection of his computer screen, making certain she wasn’t drooling.

“I’m all ears,” he prompted. “I’m dying to hear what favor you want from me.”

She wanted nothing more than to close the small distance between them, unzip his jeans, and discover whether the bulge was as thick as it appeared. Ruthlessly suppressing the impulse, she forced her intoxicated mind back on task.

She was here for Marco, not to turn her life into a disaster by having sex with a man whose philosophy was the more, the merrier.

“I want you to make Jesus stay away from a young woman he’s been seeing. Her name is Lucia,” she croaked, her throat suddenly dry.

Wizard stopped swiveling. His expression grew serious as he studied her. “How old is she?”

“Twenty-two.”

He resumed moving the chair. “Sorry. I’m not helping you. I don’t interfere in the brothers’ personal lives.”

Natalia saw red. “Why?” she snapped. “Because you know Lucia will become just another woman for all The Last Riders to share?”

Leaning forward, she seized the arm of his chair and held it still. “Lucia has loved a friend of mine for years. Thanks to Jesus, she broke off their engagement. Before she comes to her senses and realizes Jesus is only using her as The Last Riders’ flavor of the month, she’ll be devastated. Her family will disown her for ending her engagement over a man she’s known for such a short time.”

“Harsh words considering you don’t know Jesus or his intentions. You’re automatically assuming the worst about him.”

“I know he’s a Last Rider. That’s all I need to know,” she argued heatedly. “Has there ever been a woman the club didn’t share?”

“A few.” His grin returned as his gaze delved into hers. “You’ve been judging The Last Riders since the first day you stepped into this club. You condemn us without knowing us.” His voice dropped to a seductive timbre as his hand settled on her knee. “Aren’t you even a little curious about what it would be like to fuck one of us—namely me?”

“No …” Natalia had to swallow the lie lodged in her throat before continuing. “Unlike you, I’m not into orgies.”

He clicked his tongue, drawing her attention to his sensual mouth.

“You have too fiery a temperament to be the cold fish you pretend to be.”

Fueled by wine, Natalia didn’t retreat. Instead, she leaned closer until barely a centimeter separated their faces. “Don’t mistake my lack of interest in becoming one more woman on The Last Riders’ playlist for prudishness. I’m not opposed to sexual relationships. I simply prefer them to be one-on-one, not one-on-three,” she said snidely. “I enjoy sex. I just don’t want to have it with you.”

He began caressing her knee. “Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.”

“Why knock if I don’t want what’s on the other side?”

Wizard didn’t miss a beat. “Afraid to find out?”

“You don’t frighten me, Wizard. You’re the one who should be frightened of me.”

“I’m not afraid to face my fears.” His gaze held hers. “How about you?”
