“That doesn’t sound too bad to me. You’ll have to”—I laugh because I’m nervous—“you’ll have to be easy. I’ve never—”
He silences me with a kiss, melting away my worries.
“I’ll take care of you. You don’t have to worry about that. Remember, I haven’t either. We’ll learn. Together. If that’s what you want.”
“It’s what I want,” I blurt.
Alaska tilts his head, the fire reflecting in his eyes. “You’re nervous.”
“And you aren’t? My biggest worry is not being able to please you. It’s been my number one fear since I saw you for the very first time, when all these feelings rushed over me when it came to you.”
“Me too, but we have a few days. Nothing needs to happen right now except learning about one another. In whatever way that may be.”
“And what way is that?” I do my best to sound flirtatious, even going as far as leaning back, pressing my hands against his shins, and my shirt rides up more.
His eyes drop to where the shirt barely covers me, and his palms become curious, sliding up my back.
Alaska growls. “Learning anything about you, whether that’s emotionally.” He inches higher. “Or mentally.” He slips one hand between my thighs. “Physically.”
He palms my sack, and my reflexes have me digging my fingers into his legs, my lungs struggling to cooperate while his hands are on me like this.
“Show me the sky while I’m on my fucking back, then.” I bolt forward, gripping his face, and crush our lips together.
There’s a fever in my blood. A wildness that can’t be tamed when it comes to Alaska. Every day it’s growing. Hotter than solar flares. If his hands aren’t on me, I’m lost, needing his touch to soothe the searing ache in my veins.
I don’t know what’s going on, but I do know every day I become more desperate for his body against mine.
He flips me over as quickly as the breeze blows through, showing me the sky just like I asked. The hat falls off my head, and he places it to the side, away from the danger of being ruined.
Like I am.
I grasp the middle of his button-up shirt, yanking so hard the buttons pop free, flying somewhere I don’t care about.
“My mate is impatient.” Alaska’s eyes target me as my hands bury in his chest hair.
I love it.
“When it comes to you? I’m impatient about everything.” I drift my hands down his rock-solid body, the muscles twitching under my palms.
“You’re ruining all my plans. I was going to romance you.” He tilts his head back, enjoying my touch, the way my hands fit perfectly on every dip of his body.
“Consider me romanced.” I drag my hand around his nape, pull him forward, and crash our lips together.
This time, we move with confidence, his tongue delving into my mouth, and I wrap my lips around it to give it a gentle suck. He groans, working my shirt off and over my head until I’m bared before him.
He sits back on his haunches, those large hands casting shadows on my body as the fire glows beside us.
I’m naked.
With a man.
My man.
He admires me, his palms a feather touch against my legs, drifting up and down. The calluses are like sandpaper, proving years of hard work.
“Look at you. So handsome. So fucking beautiful. I can’t stop marveling at the sight of you.”
A massive heatwave rolls through my body, my skin feverish, beads of sweat forming all over me. There’s a part of me that’s a little embarrassed to be completely nude in front of him.
