His Favorite Felon

Shorty had the fucking audacity. Even if I wasn’t taken, I doubt I would’ve paid her any attention, regardless.

After getting in my car, I decided to visit the trap houses I owned across the city. I was a few days early, but I knew they would still be prepared. It was rare for those niggas to have a problem, so I never really needed to pop up outside my schedule, which was usually the first or last week of the month.

My last stop was the trap in Southwest. Rico wasn’t trapping out a house like everyone else. He had a warehouse and an ice cream truck he used as a front. So, I called him before just popping up at the warehouse in case he was on the truck. When I called, he told me he was in the warehouse and that he had a surprise for me.

If it was anyone other than Rico Suave, I would be worried that he was trying to set me up, but I made sure that all my niggas ate, and I treated them like family, so I would hope they ain’t tryin’ no slick shit with me.

When I pulled up, nothing was out of place. It was the same vehicles I’d always seen, so I parked and headed inside. There was a thick metal door that separated me from entering where I knew Rico ass would be.

I did his secret five-knock, and then the nigga at the door opened it. When I entered and made my way to the floor, I was surprised by who I saw.

“Yo, Suave. You a slick-ass nigga. You know that?” I smiled.

“You know… I only need to hear something one time, and then I’m on it.”

“I see.” I walked over to the old nigga tied to the chair.

“What’s up, Slick. Long time no see.” He couldn’t say anything because his mouth was taped.

My body was vibrating with excitement. I knew I’d catch the nigga slippin’. It was only a matter of time. I pulled out my phone and pulled up a picture of Justice and me. I turned my phone screen towards him, and his eyes damn near popped out of his head.

“Justice Jr.? Why would you ever name your goddess of a daughter after you, such a waste-of-space ass nigga. You must really be a selfish ass nigga to name your daughter after you, knowing you got hella’ enemies,” I said, then I snatched the tape from over his mouth.

“Nigga, if you touch my daughter,” he gritted out.

“Touch? Nigga, that’s already my babymuva. She’ll be my wife soon. So, I guess that makes me your son-in-law.” I smirked at him.

“My babygirl is too pure for the likes of you. Let me go, and we can handle this like real men.” He rocked the chair back and forth as if he was really gon’ do something. Nigga couldn’t burst a grape in a fruit fight.

“You know. That’s one thing I could agree with. She is too pure for me, even though the time served in jail had turned her into a pyro because of you. She has a thing for fire now. I wonder if she’d be okay with me setting your ass on fire.”

He looked taken aback by who his daughter had become, but it shouldn’t have been. What did he really think jail would do to her?

“Actually, I did promise her justice.” I winked at him.

I went to my contacts and FaceTimed my troublemaker. I was sure there was a fifty-fifty chance she’d order me to kill him or to let him go. It was really up in the air.

I FaceTimed her, and she answered on the third ring.

“Hey, baby,” she greeted me. When I locked eyes with Slick bitch ass, he looked a few shades lighter; his ass was turning into Casper right before my eyes.

“Nothing much, Beautiful. I was just checkin’ in on you. I need to ask you something. Are you alone?”

“Ugh, yeah. What’s wrong?” Her brows knit together.

I turned the camera around so they could see one another. I heard Trouble gasp.

“Oh my God! Daddy,” she said in shock.

Rico and his team did a number on Slick. He had a black eye, a busted lip, dried blood in his hair, beard, and clothes. His ass looked like they took him through the mud.

“You calling that nigga baby? You see what he did to me. You fuckin’ with the nigga who was the reason you was locked up,” he spat.

“Wowwww. I haven’t seen or heard from you in what… six years, and that’s the first thing you choose to say to me. No, I’m sorry for leaving to serve the bid that you were supposed to serve.”

“Me? Apologize? Yeah, you are your mother’s child. Y’all so damn green. This is how the game goes, Junior. I don’t owe you shit. Especially since you’re sleeping with the devil himself.”

I used my free hand to punch him in the face. If it weren’t for the niggas behind him, his chair would have tipped back. I had heard enough, so I turned the camera back to myself. Justice had tears in her eyes that fell as soon as the camera was no longer on her father.
