And yet…
All thoughts about his new nickname for me fly out the window when he starts talking again.
“I bet you would come so hard, too,” he says, more to himself than me. He leans back just enough that his gaze can travel over my body, over my racing pulse and my peaked nipples. “I bet you’d love how I eat you.”
I somehow manage a breathless laugh. “You’re that confident?”
I’m relieved to hear it doesn’t sound nervous. Because I’ve never done that, and I really don’t want to disappoint Lucas if I don’t do it right. What if I can’t come from that?
But another part of me, a bigger part, is the opposite of nervous. Because Lucas was so gentle with me the other night, and I really, really want to do more with him.
“Yeah, baby girl,” he purrs. “I’m that confident.” A mischievous gleam enters his eyes. “Tell you what. How about we make a bet?”
My brow furrows. “What kind of bet?”
To my growing confusion, Lucas glances at the laptop in front of me. “A bet that I can make you come quicker than you can hack into something.”
I blink at him.
“I can’t decide if you’re being overconfident or if you actually think I’m a shit hacker,” I mumble.
He grins, his hands brushing over my thighs. “Let’s put things somewhere in the middle.”
When I glare at him, he laughs, the bastard. But my focus quickly shifts to my laptop. “What am I hacking into?”
Lucas hums thoughtfully. “Well, you’ve already hacked into my stuff, so…how about my brother’s system?”
It takes me a second to respond because on the next slide of his hands, he spreads his fingers on my thighs, making his thumb brush between my legs for a split second.
“Wh-which brother?” I manage to ask.
He’s grinning at me. He knows exactly what he’s doing.
“Let’s say Nico. Alexander would probably freak out if we touched his stuff.”
I’m just about to ask him to forget this whole thing, already too focused on getting his fingers between my legs, when he sits back, his hands going to my knees.
“So here’s the deal,” he says. “If you can hack into Nico’s life and find the dollar amount of the sponsorship he gave up around the time of his retirement, you win.”
I straighten and try to focus. “What do I win?”
“Whatever you want.”
It takes me another second to completely pull myself together. To understand what he’s saying. “And if you make me come before that…” I start carefully, “you win whatever you want?”
His grin widens. “Yup. Obviously, winnings will stay within reason. But yes, that’s the gist.”
And then all my focus flies out the window when he starts to roll up his sleeves. That man’s forearms should be illegal.
Why does a man who works behind a desk have forearms that I want to bite?
I glance at the computer, then back at Lucas. My blood starts to sing with excitement—and desire. “I’m in.”
I expect him to go right for my pants. I even brace for it, my breathing already coming quicker. But to my surprise, he continues to stare at me, his gaze growing hungrier as it travels over my body.
“When does the timer start?” I ask, breathless.
His eyes snap back to mine, a smirk curling his lips. “Right now.”
