Bridging the Gap

States visited: IN, IL – extended stop in Chicago

Dear Journal,

We’re in Chicago for a few days. It’s raining like a mother fucker, so we’re taking a couple of days off to enjoy the city. Today, we toured the Art Museum and visited Navy Pier for lunch. The city is gorgeous, and the views of Lake Michigan are impressive. There’s even a beach there and lots of folks hang out there. Reminds me of the East Hampton house and the beaches there in the summer.

Tonight we’re going to Fairytails to meet with the owners, and I’m excited. The bachelor auction is tomorrow night, and I’m nervous and excited at the same time to participate. I’ll catch you up on how it goes.

Edit: We had the best time at Fairytails. The auction was fun, though my Bridges got a little jealous when some guy was bidding against him for me. The money all went to charity, so it was all good. I’ll remember it forever. Kincaid, Jax, and Ford are so nice, and they had us stay with them in their big house in the historic district. We even stayed an extra day to hang out with the kids. It was a blast.

Week 4

States visited: IL, IA – extended stop in Des Moines

Dear Journal,

After hanging in Chicago, Des Moines, IA, feels like a big corn maze, but it’s really beautiful here. We’re just chilling at a cute little campground outside the city—though Des Moines isn’t like any city I’ve ever visited.

Everyone says hi, please, and thank you. It’s sweet. Bridges and I went to a diner today that didn’t look like anything I’d seen in New York. Our server’s name was Edna, and she said, “I’m Edna and I’ll be your waitress. What can I get ya, honey?” It took everything inside me not to laugh.

Bridges, of course, was the epitome of a gentleman. He ordered for me—a ribeye steak and loaded baked potato. It was a big lunch, but he said, “Baby boy, you have to eat more. I know it’s a lot, but you’re shorts are a little baggy. I love the ass I see in those shorts as I drive behind you, and I don’t want it to disappear.”

I was equal parts offended and flattered. The man knew me too well.

Week 5

States visited: NE – extended stop in Ogallala

Dear Journal,

If I thought Iowa had cornfields, imagine my surprise with Nebraska. Cattle, corn, and soybeans were the major agribusinesses in Nebraska. Seeing the corn as high as my head as I was riding along the highway was phenomenal.

Cows are a new thing for me. I’d never seen one in person, but Bridges stopped along a two-lane road so we could take pictures with them as they came to the fence to see who was checking them out. Their eyes are so big!

Bridges said, “I think my dick is bigger than his.” He pointed to a beautiful cow with red hair and a white face. I squatted down to see teats—my mother had pointed them out to me once when we were at a farm stand around Halloween and there was a picture of a cow near the cheese and butter stand—and I fell on the grass, laughing so hard at Bridges that I cried.

“Your dick is definitely bigger than hers,” I told him. His face flushed a beautiful pink that I’d never seen before. God, I loved him.

We’re back on the road tomorrow, and we’re halfway through the ride. It’s been the most amazing time of my life.

Week 5

States visited: CO – extended stop in Glenwood Springs

Dear Journal,

We’re in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. We went to the hot springs, and they were magical. My sore muscles relaxed in that warm water, and as Bridges held me in our private pool, I let go of everything that had been bothering me. It was a beautiful state of bliss.

Tomorrow, we’re heading to Utah. Riding the mountains was amazing. Don’t get me wrong—they were hell going up, but once I got to the top, Bridges would stop for me to rest and rehydrate, and we’d take in the views. I took pictures and sent them to Alexis to put on YouTube. I didn’t want to know how the channel was doing. I just wanted to enjoy the ride.

Bridges and I found a great campground where we could see so many fucking stars it was unbelievable. I couldn’t even see those stars at our East Hampton house. It was fucking beautiful.
