Tate nods.

“Run intel on that, keep him tied up somewhere. We can keep him alive for now, but chances are, if he learned from Fabio, he’d rather die than speak. Especially if it involves trying to kill me.”

My fists clench as I stand. I hold out my hand and help G to her feet. “We knew this was likely, sweetheart. You can’t take the throne without a battle.”

Her face remains expressionless.

I continue, “You promised you had another fight left in you, and this time, you’ve got all of us beside you. Nothing's gonna happen to you, not if I can help it.”

She watches on blankly as Tate and Jett drag Cesare away. “And what if I bring them right to your doorstep, Colt? I need to go back to LA and sort this out.”

My body goes rigid. Stepping in front of her, I grip her shoulders. “I’ll say this once, and you better listen, Mrs. Sterling. That ain’t happening.”

“So what the hell do we do now?” she asks.

“We call a family meeting with Hunter, and we talk this shit through. There isn’t a problem we can’t fix together.”

She blinks at me. Almost as if she’s calculating every other option that exists where she doesn’t have to rely on me.

Because that is all Gianna has known. She’s had to have her own back. She’s had to look out for everyone else. And I’m giving her a whole new outlook on how we do this.

“Trust me, Gianna. We will figure this shit out. If they come for you, they come for all of us. And that means Arizona, New York, Vegas, Chicago, Italy, a damn chocolate factory full of Irish thugs in Pennsylvania, and Russia.”

Her face drops. “We need to get Dom. Now,” she barks.

And she’s already moving, and I’m right behind her.

“Everyone to Hunters. Now,” I command.

Ace nods. He’ll have them rounded up in a couple of minutes and ready for war.

Because I think that’s where this shit is heading.

Levi knew something. Men like that, they don’t bluff. They want money and power.

But we have the fuckin’ world at our fingertips to try and outsmart whoever is hunting her. Unless it’s already begun.

CHAPTER EIGHTY-NINE

Gianna

I call Dom on Colten’s phone and he answers on my third attempt. “Hello,” he says, his voice foggy.

Not like I haven’t been having a heart attack over his whereabouts for the last minute.

“Get to Hunter’s now,” I command.

“I’ve got the jet scheduled to take off this afternoon, G. What’s the rush?”

“Dom, it ain’t safe for you in LA without me. Take as much security as you can with you to the jet and get your ass here to me. Don’t argue with me on this. Levi’s dead, and he gave me a warning,” I tell him.

“Alright, G. I’ll be there as soon as I can be. Be careful, sis. Don’t worry about me.”

I blow out a breath. Trying not to think about Max’s lifeless body and how I’ll fucking crumble if I have to identify Dom’s body.

“I’ll always worry about you, Dom.”

“I love you, G,” he says quietly.
