His lips and teeth were on my ear, making a tremble move through my belly.

Logically, I needed him to stop.

But I couldn’t think of anything I wanted less.

Instead of answering, I wiggled my ass back against his hardness, making a groan escape him.

“You want more?” he asked. His teeth nipped my earlobe.

I wanted everything.

All I could manage was a nod as his thumbs teased around my nipples.

“Like this?” he asked.

His hand glided down my belly to press between my thighs.

Pleasure anchored me to him even as everything else spun. Everything was coiled, humming, restless.

“Yes,” I whimpered. My hips rocked against the touch, making me grind back against his own need.

Silas leaned down, his lips and tongue on my neck, his teeth scraping.

His fingers circled, and the want turned wild, demanding.

I reached down, grabbing his wrist, pulling his hand up, then sliding it down beneath my shorts and panties.

A rumble moved through him as his fingers found me wet and needy. At the proof of my desire, his patience unraveled completely.

His thumb circled my clit as his two fingers slipped down and slid inside me, dragging a throaty moan from me.

The rhythm of his touch collapsed into something wild, reckless. Everything in me responded. I was aching, trembling, panting for breath.

“Maggie.” Silas’s voice was a cool caress. “Tell me what you want.”

A choked moan escaped me.

Then—soft, raw, desperate—“You.”

“Like this?” he asked, fingers thrusting faster.

“Y…yes.”

Before I could even draw in a breath, his hands were out of my panties and working my shorts and underwear down my thighs.

The cool caress of his fingers raised goosebumps that warred with the heat overtaking me.

His fingers snagged the hem of my shirt, drawing it upward and off, leaving me standing there, overheated yet trembling.

He turned me, his hands framing my face as his lips claimed mine. A sound moved through him that I would remember at three a.m. for the rest of my life.

But then he was walking me backward. My legs hit the edge of the bed, but he kept pressing me back until I moved onto it, sliding up to the center.

His lips broke from mine, and I looked up at him as he stood at the edge of the bed, his gaze molten as he looked down at me.

He didn’t need to breathe, but I watched how he pulled in a breath, his chest expanding, like some part of him remembered his human self at that moment.

Then he was reaching up and back, grabbing the neck of his shirt and drawing it over his head.
