His hips rocked against my hand, chasing the friction as I stroked him.

Just as suddenly as I started touching him, though, my hand fell away as Silas lowered himself down to his knees at my feet.

His head angled up to watch me, and I was suddenly struck with the memory of him in this same position, the way my mind had spun itself dizzy with thoughts of something just like this happening.

Then his hands were sliding up my calves, knees, thighs, before finally slipping under my skirt.

“Silas,” I whimpered.

His eyes blazed as his fingers found the waistband of my panties, then slowly dragged them downward.

As soon as I stepped out of them, his hands were teasing upward again. Goosebumps traced his touch as he gathered up my skirt and held it against my hip.

I saw the heat in his eyes, the hunger.

A tremor coursed down my spine as the anticipation sparked.

Then he ducked his head, his tongue tracing up the center of me.

Pleasure rippled through me as my hand slapped to the back of his neck, holding him against me.

I was shaking, wanting, wild with the need when his tongue finally found my clit and circled with perfect precision.

Heat bloomed as my breath stuttered, as my pulse fluttered.

A throaty sound clawed its way out of me as my hips rocked against his mouth.

He reached for my leg, guiding it over his shoulder, then sliding his palm back upward until he was cupping my ass.

Each flick of his tongue rewrote my awareness of myself as I writhed, whimpered, clutched the back of his head.

I’d never felt so needy, desperate, overwhelmed.

All I could think was: It’s never felt like this before.

The whole world had narrowed down to him, to the feel of his tongue tracing me, to the tightening deep inside.

Until, finally, the tension snapped.

I shattered with it, undone by the sudden, impossible relief of release.

I was breathless, boneless, helpless but to let the pleasure move through me over and over.

I was still shaking as Silas moved away, slowly gaining his feet. His face pressed into my neck, his lips sliding up my throat, under my jaw, then up to the shell of my ear.

“I thought you might need a reminder of why you should stop avoiding me,” he said.

Then just as suddenly as he pushed me inside the storage room, he left me alone in it.

Still on shaky legs, I reached down to pull my panties into place then slid down the wall until I was sitting on the floor, the cold tile a shock to my burning skin.

I pulled my knees in, resting my elbows on them, then letting out a strange, choked laugh.

Because all I could think was that Tess was right. That a man could make you see through space and time when going down on you.

And I’d never experienced it from a man before who supposedly loved me.

But I’d gotten it from Silas.
