And now I’m going to do this for her.
“Okay,” I exhale. “Okay.”
His mouth touches mine, he shifts his hips, and then he’s inside me. Buried deep and perfect. I melt into the mattress as he begins to move. It’s soft and sweet. He’s soft and sweet. At least for the moment. I’m hoping the tight grasp in my hair turns a little rough and sweet soon.
And thankfully, it does.
CHAPTER
THIRTY-NINE
HOUND
Stopping just before I take off down the single-lane road and head toward our contracted transported duty, I look over my shoulder to see her. Keely. My Keely. I think about staying right there beside her.
I should stay.
She’s standing just beneath the door’s overhang, Thea in her arms. We fucked twice last night and once this morning. I can’t remember the last time I had sex like that… no, that’s a lie.
I remember clearly.
Every fucking second of it, just like every time we’re together. It’s imprinted on my brain like nothing else. She is like nothing else, like nobody else. Perfection in a way that I can’t even describe.
The week we spent together a year ago, clear as this morning. That week we made Thea. Keely’s simply the best I’ve ever had. I didn’t know women like her existed. She might not be the most experienced, but experience doesn’t always make someone an expert or good at what they do.
I don’t want to leave her here, but I don’t have a choice. This shit with the Russians needs to be handled. Transporting fucking women—something we said we’d never do as a club—yet here we fucking are, doing just that.
“Ready?” Hippie calls out from behind me.
No.
“Yeah,” I say, lifting my hand and extending my fingers, motioning forward before I take off down the lane.
He feels the same way as I do, so he’s not ready either, but there’s a job that needs doing, and we’ll be fucking doing it, even if we don’t agree on it. Dare has made a commitment for the club, and we’re part of the club—we will honor it.
The gate opens without me having to stop, Hippie close behind. I know where we’re going: a small private airport in North Vegas. We’ll be supplied with a box truck, and when the plane lands, the women will be offloaded, then loaded, and we will transport said box truck to the final destination.
This first time, we are going to take the truck from the airport to its final destination. As we do this shit, I am hoping to be able to hand off the truck at the halfway point. But for this first time, it needs to be handled by us.
As I ride toward the airport, I can’t help but smile to myself. This fucking woman… my fucking woman. My God. I can’t get her off my mind. Every single time my thoughts drift, they zoom directly to her.
And then to Thea.
Not that she’s an afterthought or anything. That’s just the way it happens. Thea is my heart, but Keely owns my fucking body and soul. Keely is imprinted on my goddamn marrow. She is special in a way that I didn’t even think was fathomable.
It doesn’t take us long to arrive at the airport, less than an hour. I’m not surprised to see a gate surrounding the airport. Pulling up, I look over and watch the security guard step out of the shack. It’s a much nicer security shack than we have. It’s metal and glass, probably air-conditioned, too.
Cushy fucking deal, if you ask me.
The guard stands beside me. He smiles before he flicks his gaze to my cut, then shifts it back up to meet mine. He doesn’t seem worried, concerned, or even the slightest bit scared. So he’s expecting us, knows who we are, and knows we aren’t here for this shit and not to hurt anyone or anything.
“You’re here for the new shipment,” he states.
I think about that. I could tell him we’re not. I could kill him. I could do a million different things. He’s obviously trusting enough. He doesn’t appear to be armed. And he’s definitely not on the defense.
“Yeah,” Hippie calls out. “Here for a shipment.”
The guard flicks his gaze from me to Hippie and then back to me. “I’ll let you in. But it’s in and out.”
