Kerry Winsor: Cranking the hog!!! Lol.
Comments:
Jade Clark: Is this code for something?
Mollie Wilson: She definitely doesn’t know what it means.
Wren Hackett: Are we gonna tell her?
Grace Day: I think we HAVE to.
Kerry Winsor: I know what it means. I’m just so glad you all commented on my post.
Kerry Winsor: I may have reached a new level of desperation.
I’d barely been able to sleep. Dialing Gabriel had been embarrassing yesterday. I had no doubts that he thought I was sleepwalking, and the result was fitful sleep while I kept thinking of how worried he’d been.
The best thing to do would be to stay home.
I was not doing that.
“This is fine. You can hang out with them without getting your heart stomped on.” I told it to myself as I stared at the door.
I knew I was lying.
My knuckles rapped on the door anyway.
Gabriel opened it moments later, eyes widening when he saw me.
“Hi!” I said.
“You okay?” he asked.
“Yes. Just making sure we do our plans.”
“Our . . . plans?”
“For the girls to see more of Strawberry Springs.”
“Jade!” Agnes ran to me and nearly knocked me over with the force of her tight hug.
“You were serious about that?” Gabriel asked.
I gave him a flat look. “Do you think not being serious would be a good idea?”
“You’re right.”
“As usual,” I added.
“As usual,” he repeated with a sigh.
I couldn’t help the smirk that crossed my face. I wanted to push it, but I was here for them, not him.
“Have they eaten yet?”
“They haven’t.”
“Then we should take them to the diner.”
