I scream.
“Let go!”
I kick at the man leaning into the back seat.
My foot catches him in the stomach.
He grunts.
Good.
I hope that hurt.
“Madison!” Torch shouts through the phone. “Where the fuck are you?”
“I don't know! On the road into town!”
The man grabs my other wrist.
I twist away, trying to scramble across the seat.
“Send me your location!” Torch orders.
I'm trying.
I really am.
But the man has both my arms now.
My phone slips from my hand and lands on the floor.
I hear Torch shouting my name.
Then the man hauls me out of the cab.
I dig my heels into the road.
“Get your hands off me!”
“Quit fighting.”
Oh, that's rich.
A complete stranger drags me out of a car, and he expects me to cooperate?
I swing my free hand at his face.
My nails catch his cheek.
He swears.
“Little bitch.”
“Kidnapping people tends to bring out my unpleasant side!”
He grabs my wrist again.
The other man approaches from the front of the cab.
