A loud whimper tore from her.
“No more, Ark,” she mouthed, her hands falling from the windows and wrapping them around my neck.
“Okay, baby.” My teeth clutched the flesh just above her pulse as I bore her weight, pumping harder and deeper into her while my finger flicked her clit.
She screamed, her walls clutching me tight, while I fucked her harder. And soon, she shattered around me, her body mewling in pleasure, and I waited just like I had done many times tonight.
I still wasn’t done with her. And she knew it too, from the way her eyes glazed. I carried her to the bed and had her stomach first on the bed as I started to fuck her hard once again. Then I had her on top of me, her hair around her like a goddess, her glistening eyes on me as our hips searched hard for pleasure. Then we were side to side, eyes locked, noses touching as we rocked into each other. Slow and fast. Steady and sweet. Hard and uncontrolled.
We continued for how long I didn’t know, but the both of us were covered in sweat, our chests heaving with fire, our bodies trembling in pleasure, and the room laced with the smell of us and the sound of our thighs.
It was an unbridled, all-consuming kind of love. The kind I could only feel for her. “I love you, my Bella,” I choked, feeling the culmination nearing us.
“I love you, Ark,” she whispered, trembling, eyes opening to me, as we both came apart, together, utterly spent and enthralled in love. Soon, we were an exhausted heap on the bed, curled into each other’s arms, forgetting that an outside world even existed. Only to wake up and repeat it all over again.
Weeks later…
No one mourned Marcus’s death.
Our family didn’t even give him a funeral.
We simply burned his body and threw his ashes away in the ocean.
A search of his house proved how crazy he actually was. His journals depicted all his crimes in wild detail, and it was hard to even fathom the person Marcus was to us. I should’ve known from the black ink always smudged on his finger, almost like a sign pointing to me of his tainted hands.
Although settling back into a life without Marcus was a strange process, we all did in our own ways.
“Bella,” I called out, cupping my hands over my mouth, but she was too busy to even hear me.
My eyes narrowed, seeing her all muddy and gorgeous as she sparred with Jon, Grayson, and Shouma on the field, while the rain softly drizzled over them. A giggle spilled out of her lips at something that Jon said, and I felt the rage pulse in my blood.
My jaw flexed. That was it—I wasn’t sharing my wife with anyone. Maybe I should bar men from ever setting foot inside my house.
“Arkane.” Her eyes found mine when I neared her, and a happy smile lit her face. “What are you…?”
I didn’t give her a chance to finish, as I glared at the men and lifted her in my arms.
“Arkane,” she squealed while Jon and Shouma laughed, and the corner of Gray’s lips lifted into a smile.
“Stop stealing my wife,” I warned in a lethally low tone, but it only made them laugh harder.
“Fuckers,” I cursed under my breath and stormed out of there.
“Arkane.” Bella chuckled when I put her down on her feet inside the house. “Are you jealous of your own brothers?”
“Yes,” I grumbled, not even caring about the fact that we were dripping wet as I tugged her into my arms.
“You know I only have eyes for you,” she said softly, and the words sent a jolt to my heart.
I sighed, pressing a soft kiss to her lips. “As much as I would love to continue this, I have to go somewhere.”
CHAPTER 44
BELLE
“Go where?” I frowned, noticing him completely dressed. As far as I knew, he had nothing on his schedule, and it was late in the evening.
“Something I can’t miss,” he whispered, as his arms wrapped around me and he dropped his forehead to my shoulder.
