Then they disappeared inside. The door closed. I stared after them. Something had changed. I could feel it. Didn’t understand it yet. But Bethany hadn’t asked for Vivienne. She hadn’t asked for help. She’d asked for Nyssa.
“Tell me everything.”
Guild exhaled.
I turned on him. “From the beginning.”
“I was coming back from the south side. Took the service road because the main route was backed up.”
“Time?”
“Twenty-three minutes ago.”
“Exact.’
Guild pulled out his phone. “Twenty-two forty-seven.”
“Location.”
“Old service road. About five miles south.”
Rafe was already typing.
“Send it.”
Guild did.
“Ghost.”
“Moving.”
“Brick, with him.”
Both men turned immediately. “Falcon.”
Rafe lifted his radio. “Push outward from Guild’s location. Roads, fields, river access. Anything that could’ve moved someone in or out.”
A crackle.
“Copy.”
“Knox.”
“Traffic cameras,” Rafe answered. “I’ll get him on it.”
“Not just council. Private. Houses. Business. Doorbells. Dashcams. I want every fucking lens within ten miles.”
“Done.”
London stepped closer. “Police?”
“Everything they have.”
He was already reaching for his phone. “Colt. Carven.”
The twins looked up.
“Start at the river road. Work backwards. I want to know how she got there.”
