“Are you with Saint?”
“He put me in the hayloft.” Keira drags in a quick, uneven breath. “I can hear them shooting.”
“Where’s Sera?”
“She went after them.”
I suck in a breath and grip the phone. Christ, Sera’s facing my father’s men while I’m miles away, inside a helicopter that hasn’t even left the fucking ground.
“Stay hidden,” I bite out. “I’ll be there soon.”
The pilot opens the cockpit door, and I end the call.
“Black Heath Stud. How quickly can you get me there?”
“Fifteen minutes.”
I drag a hand through my hair. In the ring, the threat is always close enough to hit. Here, the only man who can get me to Sera has just told me those bastards have another nine hundred fucking seconds before I can reach her.
My fist slams into the bulkhead. “Make it less.”
If they reach the hayloft or Sera reaches them first, fifteen goddamn minutes will be too late.

He ends the call.
“What the hell is going on?” Saint asks, beating me to it.
“Two vehicles coming down the main track. Another three on the lower road, and I’ve just heard there are armed men crossing the fields behind the broodmare barns.”
The blood pounding in my ears grows louder.
“How many men?” Saint asks.
“Too many.”
Shay’s phone rings again. He answers and turns toward the doorway, his gaze sweeping across the yard.
“Black Heath Stud’s under attack. We need back-up. And don’t fucking hang around.”
Saint pulls his gun from the back of his waistband.
“Crowes?”
“Has to be,” Shay agrees. “They’re coming at us from every direction.”
Keira’s hand tightens around Saint’s.
He turns to her so fast she barely has time to react before he takes hold of her arm and pulls her out of the feed room.
“Saint—”
